Scooper 'metroILman' sent in this bit on Morgan Freeman talking about both Wanted and The Dark Knight:

I was reading the recent "USA Today Weekend" insert that accompanies my local Sunday paper. The "Who's News" section included a short article on Morgan Freeman talking about upcoming projects. Here's what he had to say on two of those projects.

"WANTED with Angelina Jolie. 'I head up a fraternity of assassins. All I do is talk'.

THE DARK KNIGHT, a sequel to BATMAN BEGINS, shooting now. 'This time, my character(Lucius Fox) figures more in the plot'."

The same pumpkin image appeas on the cover of the popular Jeph Loeb/Tim Sale graphic novel The Long Halloween, which was one of the books which was used as inspiration for The Dark Knight. It is also a personal favorite of current Batman star Christian Bale. The Long Halloween also featured the origin of Two-Face, which is likely mirrored in the new Christopher Nolan film.

if Dark Knight has Calendar Man or the Holiday Killer in it...and they aren't being offed by Joker or someone in the first minute of the movie, this movie is gonna fail i tell you!

If what i read was correct about the Joker character being based on the deranged pyschotic serial killer Joker and not the comedic character he turned into then the movie should be good.
That was my problem with Batman Forver and Batman and Robin, Too much comedy in the Villains.

Batman Movie News and Updates was kind enough to take an article about The Dark Knight from the German Website Kino.de and translated into English where the filmmakers give some spoilers about the film:

*) Batman will go to Hong Kong for some kind of "gangster hunting", but the producer Chuck Roven won't tell us why Batman travels to Hong Kong.

*) The IMAX preview with I Am Legend is the first five minutes of the film.

*) "The whole thing is not 'Joker Begins', because we did not tell how the Joker became what he is", says director Christopher Nolan. "During these five minutes it is shown how the joker of the small crook becomes the most-dreaded gangster of the city - it is more of a "The Rise of the Joker"

Via his official site, composer Mel Wesson says the following about working on the score for TDK:

"This is the one I've been waiting for. Another outing for Gothams Dark Knight, together with Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard. I began working on ideas in mid September '07, it's a long schedule but it's good to have time to experiment and expand the ideas we had on BATMAN BEGINS into the darkness.... don't forget 'Not all jokes are funny.'"

Chris Nolan is not coming to Hong Kong.

Production has asked the buildings along HK harbor to keep their neon lights on all night long during the roof top shootings to take place the second week in November.

Those who have been to the city will know that the harbor is a festival of lights at night -- some celebrating the coming of the Olympics others just bring a very carnival atmosphere to the skyline.

The stunts cancelled were -- as you said -- not critical to the story line. What’s critical to a story we really don't know anyway, right?

The stunts were practiced extensively in Chicago -- remember the hot dog SWAT stunt? No more.

The other stunt was practiced outside of Chicago and was to be a parachute jump into HK harbor -- also no more.

The Dark Knight will have a meeting with Fox here on a rooftop, what it’s about is any ones guess, so Mr. Bale and Mr. Freeman will be HK bound very soon.
