Why didn't you like tommy as Twoface. He entertained me all through the movie, actually I didn't want two face to die in Forever.

Tommy was almost acting like Riddler. If you know 2 Face you'll know what I mean. 2 Face seems like he's on downers where Riddlers on uppers. And the make up was over cartoony. Is that even a word?

Re: The Dark Knight' Official Discussion Thread
I agree, he was way too comical, but if the character had been darker, I dont think tommy lee jones was a bad choice at all...

Re: The Dark Knight' Official Discussion Thread
as much as i love Burton's vision of Batman, Nolan has already taken the mantle as the "definitive" Batman director with just one movie.
you gotta give Burton credit tho, he actually made the Penguin (one of the worst Batman villains ever) into something villainous and deep. he deserves a pat on the back. so does DeVito
i really disliked the versions of villains after Batman Returns. Riddler was ok, but then again he's never been that much of a villain. Two-Face on the other hand, the director failed badly at capturing the complexities of Harvey Dent and the depth of his schizophrenia and the duality of his choices.
don't even get me started on Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, and Bane.
i am really looking forward to Nolan's version of Harvey Dent in this movie and if they have Two-Face in this movie, how well Nolan pulls it off. Nolan is such a godsend to Batman fans.

Re: The Dark Knight' Official Discussion Thread
^^yea but its supposed to go into part 3....I agree with the penguin analogy, he was made into such an amazing villain by burton, something that is truly hard to do with such a character. I mean, seriously, the penguin? The name alone sounds kinda goofy, lol. So definitely an awesome performance. I really hope if the joker is pulled off great, that ledger is at least nominated for some movie awards...movie awards r so biased

really? ever since they announced Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent, i knew they were probably going to have the Two-Face story developed towards the end and then have that flow into the 3rd movie and have him be the villain.

Yeah thats basically it. If you look back somewhere through this thread there is a discription of the scene with 2 Face in it. You barely see his other face.

The excitement, the drama, the laughter. Speaking with Sir Michael Caine is a thrilling, amusement park ride-like experience. I recently met up with him and Kenneth Branagh to discuss their tense new cat-and-mouse like caper Sleuth. After chatting about the film in length, I breached the subject of The Dark Knight with Mr. Caine, who seemed incredibly anxious to talk about the upcoming Batman sequel. "Is there anything new you can tell me about The Dark Knight?"
The classically trained actor smiled, a bit of menace laced throughout his gleeful grin, "Yes. I can give it away. I can tell you the biggest secret. The most shocking thing for both you and I..." He took a beat, playing to the camera that was capturing our interview, "It's Heath Ledger as the Joker. He is going to surprise a lot of people. He is absolutely terrifying. I'd say that he is the scariest thing I've ever seen on screen."
Well, okay, we already knew that. He told another publication the same thing less than a week ago. So I pressed the matter with him a bit, "Does Alfred and the Joker get into an altercation?"
He shook his head with a certain type of salesman like delight, "Yes. They do. They get into quite the altercation."
"Does Alfred make it out alive?"
This is when Caine put his finger to his lips and shushed me, "Now, that would be giving too much away."
"Well, are you signed on to do a third sequel?"
Michael laughed heartedly, and then shrugged with indifference, "You tell me!"
I guess we'll have to wait until July 18th, 2008, when The Dark Knight opens to find out if Batman's butler makes it out alive. In the mean time, you can check out Michael Caine's award worthy performance in Sleuth starting October 12th, 2007.
