Agreed. Just looking at the pictures of the joker makes me salivate with the possibilities with this character. This has the makings of becoming the biggest superhero movie. The scenes look brilliant. The casting, the colors, the settings, everything is just perfect...
-The only thing I hate about this whole new batman series is the character of rachel dawes. I mean,I like it, but why not just follow the original story and make the vicki vale character instead of introducing this new one... but eh

AMH Not Riddler - Role Revealed
This information comes definitively from working hours on the set on Sunday, Aug. 19. This information exposes the widely debated role of Anthony Michael Hall and his involvement with Batman/Bruce Wayne.
Hall’s character plays an investigative reporter for the GCN, which was photographed on Aug. 19. The scene shot that day, which is about three-fourths of the way into the film, goes like so.
Hall’s character is intensely jealous of Bruce Wayne. He even has an exactly matching Lamborghini Murcielago.
The character learns of Bruce Wayne’s true identity as Batman and plans to use the GCN to blow the whistle on him. My source describes Hall’s character not as a villain but as an antagonist.
Of course, the Joker is the true villain. Out of fear that the Joker will lose the object of his game-playing affection, he sets out to stop Hall’s character by calling in a bomb threat to the TV station.
The bomb threat causes widespread havoc. The move is designed to steal the attention off the character so he can’t issue the Batman-revealing report.
The source also submitted some pictures of a Lamborghini on set. This source spent time speaking with Anthony Michael Hall and in a PA meeting.
Despite published reports of a $150 million production budget, the same source who informed me of Anthony Michael Hall’s role in “The Dark Knight” says he/she has had a wide array of high-level conversations with people on set and can confirm that the film’s production is actually “well in excess of $200 million”.
Anthony Michaell Hall is not the Riddler, which i think is a good thing so that it is not too packed with villians like spiderman 3, and the budget=this movie is going is going to be huge and kick ass

Re: The Dark Knight' Official Discussion Thread
THE SKINNY: While promoting the new western 3:10 TO YUMA which opens up September 7, Christian Bale let slip this bit of information about THE DARK KNIGHT film and his YUMA co-star Russell Crowe.
"Russell’s going to actually be in the new BATMAN movie, which is a big surprise and I want to reveal it to everybody right now," says Bale who wouldn't reveal any more info (and who knows, maybe he was just kidding, but that would be cruel).
Who Russell will play is still unknown, but iF Magazine would like to think and speculate that if director Christopher Nolan is as savvy as he's proven with his past films, this may very well be a carefully placed cameo that will lead to Crowe playing a full-on villain in a future BATMAN movie.
More news as it develops.

Re: The Dark Knight' Official Discussion Thread
Rory_bat, from the SuperHeroHype forums has been on location recently for the latest TDK shoot,
He had this to say:Alright, I am sure you guys already know where they were shooting today: Berghoff’s (I think I spelled that right), some kind of old and classy restaurant/bar type. The crew had vehicles all on Adams and the ad****ing streets. The first time I walked by early on in the day they were shooting inside. They had some screens up over the exterior and I could hear them yell “rolling”. I didn’t know who was inside at this point. Outside there was a large bus that had “Corerctions” written on the side of it. It was a GPD bus, presumably for hauling off prisoners of a sort. There were also a few GPD extras milling around. I walked further down toward State St. and saw all kinds of GPD and Gotham cars waiting to be used. I figured some exterior stuff would be happening later. I wasn’t wrong.
Around 2:30 or 3:00 I made my way back and sure enough, there was quite a bit of action. There was a whole crowd of extras dressed in suits, they seemed to be reporters or maybe just onlookers. In front of this crowd was a GPD officer holdig a shotgun (very cool). Some of the extras were pretending to shiver..don’t forgett the fall setting. It was amusing to watch. A bit further down in front of Berghoff’s was were the good stuff was happening. Nolan and co. were shooting a scene where GPD and Lt. Gordon escort Maroni and his goons into the corrections bus, busting them. I stood across the street and watched (taking pics and got video of one whole take). Eric Roberts looked great as Maroni, cuffed and all. After each take they would wipe the sweat off of Oldman, Roberts and the extras, attempting to keep the atmosphere of Fall in place (certainly tough with today’s weather).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nqs62vEeGLc Yesterday we reported on a story that claimed that Christian Bale revealed that 3:10 To Yuma co-star Russell Crowe was featured in the upcoming Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight. We speculated that he must have been joking, because why would Russell appear in the film if he wasn’t a lead character? Well turns out that it was in fact a joke. SuperHeroHype confirms that Bale didn’t want to talk about The Dark Knight, since the press junket was for another film, and made the joke in an effort change the questions from the Dark Knight questions back to Yuma.
A few more Dark Knight spoilers today.
FilmSchoolRejects has gotten word on a shoot on Lasalle street with 400 cop extras. The rehearsed the scene on Thursday, and it turns out it’s a funeral procession. They marched with a 7 gun salute. Three shots by each of the men. But here is the twist, the last round gets aimed on stage. But what character is in front of the gun is unknown. So there are a few questions raised: Who was the funeral for? It has to be someone police or government related. I think now is too early to se Gordon go, and Harvey Dent is supposed to show his face in the third film (from what we hear). Cut to the Wizard World Chicago footage. If you remember, the bartender said to Dent “I thought you were dead…” I think that’s our answer. The new question becomes, who gets shot during the seven gun salute?
Hollywood Chicago have updated the big building implosion story from a couple weeks back. Turns out that the Branch Candy Building is being turned into the Gotham City Hospital, complete with black windows and a light up red cross. The big explosion is scheduled to go down on August 29th 30th at 10:30am.

Building collapse is official: August 30. According to the source of HollywoodChicago.com, they are making the windows all black and adding a red cross to the building.
