It is advertised as english subbed, but after spending hours downloading the 1.8gb file, it was a RAW.

I blame Viz for licensing Death Note. A lot of companies weren't going to sub episode 37 due to Viz acquiring the license a couple days before and fear of lawsuit. Apparently Viz takes it pretty seriously.

But there is bound to be one out there.

I would say I am about 85% fluent in Japanese, but I really prefer subtitles.

I still have trouble listening to native Japanese speakers, especially when they are talking a million miles a minute.

Also Panzer, if you don't like the site SJ420 sends you. Go to google, type in Download Death Note, and it is the first site. All you have to do is register, and the download times are great.

But for some reason, that site doesn't work for everyone.

Hopefully someone will sub it. Plus the Death Note site I downloaded from isn't up anymore, so I sent him the one your talking about. It's odd that that site never worked for me.

There has to be one out there, I guarantee it. I don't understand how it can't be found, though.

I finally found a subbed version of the Death Note Directors Cut. It is on Veoh, and you have to download it. But we all know, it is better than nothing.

After visiting there, sign up, and click the video. Then go to download options, and then download.

I used to watch Death Note on movie forumz but that place is gone. So I watch it on DivX nothing wrong yet.

None of us had trouble finding any of the 37 episodes. It was just the final 2 hour special cut.

I will also put it up on Megaupload, when I can- for the people who don't want to install VeohTV, etc.
