The series that are in italics are ones that I both strongly recommend, and should fit into your enjoyment criteria.
Add Hellsing and Excel Saga to that.

Hellsing is just hella good and Excel Saga is wacky goodness. Too bad Hellsing was only 13 episodes but $50 for the complete collection was a steal.

Unfortunetly I haven't yet. I've been dieing to see them though because they follow the manga more closely.

Hey -Near-, would you mind if I started an official manga discussion thread? You see my anime collection fails in comparison to my manga collection and it's cheaper then anime. Then again it probably wouldn't get stickied but a man can dream.

We have used this thread for all types of Manga discussion, thus far. Feel perfectly free to discuss anything Manga related in this thread .

If a separate thread was made, it would end up getting merged back into this one, anyway.

No problem.

Honestly, I don't think I have bought an issue, of anything, in over a year and a half.

With Online Manga readers, and the ability to download scans, I can't be bothered to spend the money. Same goes with Anime.

I have over 2000 gigs of Anime and Manga.

I used to order to this anime and manga magazine called Newtype and boy was it expensive. $90 for a years subscription! After only 1 year of subscribing I cancelled because I couldn't afford another year. Of course each issue came with a dvd of anime and the magazine itself was pretty big but I still say it was a little too expensive.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

I finally found a torrent for the special conclusion to Death Note.

Hopefully, it will finished by the time I wake up. I will upload it to Megaupload and Rapidshare as soon as I can.

Hopefully it will be great. I have been feigning for some new Death Note material for a while.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

I just started watching Death Note, i've got to say its very intresting and i'm only to Episode 3, http://www.deathnote.tv/ is where I have been watching the stream, and now I get Es' avatar, lol.

Edit:
I've finished the English dubbed Episodes that I could find (1-7) and now just finished 8-10 which, idk it's kind of strange for me, I have to pause the video because i'm not trained with the subtitles yet to read them fast enough, for some reason I really have to pause for Ryuzaki(L) he's fast :P, any idea if there are any other dubs out there?

Rest in Peace, Katherine. I love you.

John Locke

Bolded are stuff i recommend. Underlined are stuff you should avoid like crazy.

Series:
X
Escaflowne
Trigun
Wolf's Rain
Desert Punk
S-Cry-Ed
Blue Submarine No. 6 (haven't seen, but desperately want to)
Ergo Proxy
The Big O
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Zone of the Enders
Macross
Xenosaga
Fist of the North Star
Space Pirate Captain Harlock
Captain Harlock: Endless Odyssey
Apocalypse Zero
Trinity Blood

Movies:
X
Vampire Hunter D
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
The Animatrix
Escaflowne
Spriggan
Akira
Venus Wars
Appleseed
Appleseed: Ex Machina
Sky Blue
Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind

Karas: The Prophecy
Karas: The Revelation (haven't seen it yet, but will)
My Youth in Arcadia
Galaxy Express 999

Adiu Galaxy Express 999
Voices of a Distant Star (this isn't even a half hour long, so if you can download it or get it via netflix, then check it out)

-Near-, your list of post-apocalyptic anime is all wrong. the only one i'd consider is Trigun. haven't seen Black Lagoon, Darker than Black, Blue Drop, Dragonaut, or You're Under Arrest: Full Throttle. Bebop, Elfen Lied, and Gungrave aren't close to post-apocalytpic.
