Yeah dude, I like totally agree with you. We all know Anime is some super serious shit. The shows are completely killed when they are in English. People who claim that the dubs are better than the subs are some serious posers.
Sephiroth is a Fanboy.

I prefer my Anime subbed too, but that's a pretty ignorent statement to make. "If you don't watch it in Japanese you aren't a tr00 otaku." Oh please.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread
Next time you're being sarcastic use this:
Oh and otaku means anime/manga fanboy.

apparently the internet isn't the place for sarcasm
anyways, if anyone has HBO OnDemand, they have The Iron Giant on it. it's not anime, but it's a great animated movie. the director and creator also did The Incredibles and Ratatouille

A small update to those who care about the Dragon Ball movie.

Dragon Ball's Bulma Cast?
Mexican star rumoured to have nabbed role.
by Orlando Parfitt, IGN UK
UK, November 23, 2007 - The role of Bulma in the new Dragon Ball live-action movie is currently being cast, with Mexican actress Camila Sodi rumoured to have nabbed the part.
The story originated from the Mexican press and was subsequently reported by games site Kotaku, although it hasn't yet been confrimed by Twentieth Century Fox.
Camila Sodi is a big star in her native Mexico - she had her own music show, has modelled for men's magazines and starred in Gabriel Garcia Bernal's directorial debut Deficit.

Can you see Camila Sodi as Bulma?
Bulma - who appears in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z - is the nagging and temperamental daughter of Dr Briefs and is a gifted inventor.
Dragon Ball is set to hit screens on august 15th 2008.

Not too bad if she scores the role. Still looks to be the makings of a mess. Long as I get entertainment out of it as a fan of the anime I guess.

I heard they are making an Evangelion live action movie. It's still in production.

Well, half way threw Azumanga Daioh and I must say.. .
Osaka is the FUNNIEST anime character I've ever seen. I haven't laughed/chuckled so hard since I first saw FLCL...

Don't listen to Rez in regards to being a true 0taku. He knows nothing. I attempted to train him in the ways of the 0taku, but obviously, it was a terrible failure.
