Re: Anime Discussion Thread
Anime-wise, I finished up Oh! Edo Rocket, just in time before Netflix again slapped Anime out of our hands. A good comedy series, I love the art style, the characters are on the simplistic(slightly) and chibi side, but the background/scenery is a mix of old and new art styles, which makes everything blend together so well, I had to pause a couple times just to... Look. Akai has become one of my favorite villains who aren't all that villainous (I know, sounds confusing, but that's the best description without spoiling anything) the main characters love story is on the "meh" side but easily tolerable, the other love involvements oddly enough tend to be amusing. Good series to try.
Also watched Needless, which I expected not to enjoy. I was WAY off on that expatation. I love the insane comedy, and the battles scenes have the old school Jump comics feel in a good way (not surprising, heard it was an Ultra Jump manga) I love the characters, whom I assume aside from Cruz, are all clinically insane. I was going to try and find a new anime on Netflix... But dammit, I'm watching Needless again. Might have to look up the manga sometime soon too.
Now for the manga side...
... Is it just me... Or is end of 2012 to the 2013 year turning to be the year of WTF stories? First the Spider-man fiasco, now I just read the end of Cage of Eden, and... The fuck...? Did Eden suddenly get canceled or something? Because that's exactly how the end of the series felt, that or Yamada just up and quit trying.
..... Seriously, what the fuck?
