Never watch G4 that often, except for Ninja Warrior, so I missed Anime Unleashed. But I do remember when Syfy would show movies like Vampire Hunter D and Ninja Scroll.
Pretty fair tbh.
I finally finished Fate/Zero. It was one hell of a ride filled with greed, betrayal, and despair. The subs were going fast and distracting me from the action. I think at the end the grail is suppose to make the winner understand something? He wanted to be a hero, but was using an evil method to doing so. Honestly, it seems like a 5th holy grail war will happen with the daughter and adopted child and some others. Good series, definitely recommendable. Thanks Urca

Glad you enjoyed it,my man.
But as far as the grail goes, the grail is evil,The Irisviel in the grail wasn't Irisviel,it was the grail's embodiment in Irisviel (to put it in a simple way,it has Irisviel's look, but it's not Irisviel, nor does it represent Irisviel's ideals.).
Kiritsugu wasn't really supposed to learn anything from the grail, the grail wanted to use him because it thought that he's Angra Manyuu (I think that's how they write it),the grail thought that he's the evil of all the world so it chose him as the winner.
Speaking of Kiritsugu,I'd like you to see the spoilers since it has what actually happened in the anime but wasn't explained in details
Spoiler for Fate Zero:
do you remember when the false embodiment of Irisviel said
'I Curse you,Emiya Kiritsugu,Angra Mainyu curses you,Lament until the day you die,I'll never forgive you'?
it wasn't animated but Kiritsugu died on the last scene because of that curse,it caused some body operations to fail and he lost his sight.
Check the second spoiler for details
Spoiler for Fate Zero:
Once Shirou was old enough, Kiritsugu left Fuyuki several times, traveling back to the old von Einzbern castle, trying to save his daughter. However, he never managed to find his way past the bounded fields, having lost most of his magecraft abilities. After his betrayal, rather than seeking to punish him, Justacheit von Einzbern never again allows Kiritsugu into their Bounded Field and keeps him away from his daughter. Kiritsugu believes that he either wishes to exile him to carry the the shameful title of traitor for the rest of his life, or to impose the most severe punishment that can be inflicted by never allowing him to see his daughter again.
To ensure the destruction of the Great Grail, Kiritsugu used explosives to create a 'bump' in the nearby leyline, which would ensure a earthquake in thirty to forty years' time. By doing so he hoped to prevent a fifth war, but did not realize that the incomplete ending of the fourth war would cause the next war to occur in just ten years.
Angra Mainyu's curse eventually cost his life, as his limbs were lame, his sight failed, and most of his circuits became useless.
Kiritsugu's final moments
His last moments were with Shirou, watching the moon outside his garden. This will be Kiritsugu happiest memory and he also reaccount his life noting that it's full of regrets especially his inability to save his daughter.
He revealed his childhood dream to Shirou about becoming an 'hero of Justice' and that it became impossible as he became an adult. Shirou who looked up to Kiritsugu hated the way he spoke of his weakness but reassure Kiritsugu that he can accomplish it as he is still a child. Kiritsugu in his mind wanted to tell Shirou that it is fruitless dream but he couldn't say it when he sees Shirou was enthusiastic about it.
He dies peacefully as he vaguely stares at the moon and commented how beautiful it is. He died at the age of thirty-four, five years after the end of the War, passing onto Shirou his ideal of a 'hero of justice'. His last thoughts was when Shirley ask what kind of adult he wants to and he said:
"I’ll never forget what I felt today. I want to be a hero of justice!"
He is buried in the graveyard behind Ryuudouji, though Shirou rarely visits.
As far as the war after Fate/Zero happens,it was animated in 2005 IIRC,but I advise you not to watch it since a lot of people didn't like it (I liked it,personally, but a lot of people didn't because the story wasn't as deep as Fate/Zero),if you're interested,it's called Fate/Stay Night.
BTW Swagger, what do you think of the fight
Spoiler for Fate Zero Episode 24:
Between Kiritsugu and Kirei?

Just had a look over the anime I had on dvd, and stumbled over this old treasure:
So I thought about it an yeah, this is another TINKERBELL RECOMMENDATION!
So yeah, this is Ginga Nagareboshi Gin/Silver Fang/Bjørnehunden Silver whatever you wanna call it in whatever language, and this people is one of the animes that I grew up with, it greatly impacted how I looked at anime which is why I got so fucking happy and excited that I actually had this on dvd "what is this anime about?" you may be asking yourself right now, well fear no more:
Quote:
Plot Summary:
Gin is a silver Tora-ge named after his coat color. Shortly after being born, he watches his father, Riki, get killed by Akakabuto, a bear that terrorizes everything in its path. Being the third-generation of bear-dogs to try to stand up against Akakabuto, he ventures out to find wild dogs to join him in his fight.
So as you might have guessed from the plot this is not a story about humans, aliens, demons or other humanized stuff, this is dogs, dogs can talk, dogs can fight, dog fights giant fucking bears to the death.
This anime was made in 1986, so as you might guess it has some traits of old style anime (re-using scenes over and over, physical flaws in dog physics and stuff like that.) action scenes however, are filled with action, made by Toei Animation (known for Dragon Ball among others) you are sure to get your action fill with this anime.
The soundtrack is great, it has pretty much a track for every situation you might come across, and they all fit great in with the situation.
The characters are many, some you see throughout the whole show while others you see once and then they kinda disappear in the midst of all the characters there are a part of this anime, so some you care for, others not so much.
You guys talking about G4TV? I didnt know they still played good shit..
Aside from the brief mention of Ninja Warrior, we were pretty much talking about the days before Cops and Cheaters stole the happiness G4 gave us...
Seriously... They killed Code Monkeys and Anime Unleashed... But kept Cheaters? Did they not understand "Anime Fans don't mind Repeats"?!

TechTv/early G4 was great, G4 is shit in comparison nowadays. Have anyone seen X-Play lately? It's fucking horrible.
I remember the days when Sessler was verbally brutal towards games that deserve being brought down a notch, only to be physically brutalized by Morgan with a blunt object, and a man eating sock puppet named Ratty.
Sorry Blair Herter, you just ain't Adam. Still considering some of the other game related shows I've seen as of late, X-Play is still the better of the bunch. Not sure if that's a happy or sad thing though.

Naruto mangaka Masashi Kishimoto has been busily embarrassing Narutards with his first ever TV interview, revealing that he initially planned Naruto “to be about ramen” and that “it is aimed at boys in middle school.” Paraphrasing some of his comments, he apparently wanted to write a ramen manga but this was not accepted so he decided to write a manga about not being accepted, for schoolboys and full of ninja – and so Naruto was born:
“I initially thought I would write a story about ramen, but it wasn’t accepted.”
“The theme of ‘wanting to be accepted or recognised’ crops up a lot in my works…”
“So I thought I might do something about Japan and with ninja in it.”
“I treasure the kind of memories boys in middle school have, even if I am getting on a bit.”
“At Shonen Jump we are all rivals.”
There has been a certain amount of despair amongst Naruto fans online at him being so blunt about the manga targeting 2nd year middle school boys (not that this would surprise anyone) – in Japanese the phrase “chuu-ni-byou” (中二病), “8th grader sickness,” is actually slang for behaving in the juvenile manner expected of a knuckle-headed little 14-year-old.
Glad his first idea was turned down.
