Bleach Episode 142, Review
[spoiler]Great episode, I absolutely loved it. Really only a few things I disliked.
Ichigo and the gang found out what happened to Orihime. I really didn't like the way this came about. Especially Ukitake breaking the news to the Advanced Guard and Ichigo+friends instead of the Captain-Commander. Ukitake is too soft and too close to most of the party. But oh well, it happened. What was great was that Soul Society didn't have a definitive answer on what happened to Orihime. I am glad, at first, that they thought there was a possibility of Orihime being murdered. Ichigo quickly dispersed of this by showing his healed hand, but it lead to Soul Society thinking Orihime was a traitor. When Soul Society is split down the middle it makes for a great storyline.
The Captain-Commander issuing orders for the Advanced Guard to return to Soul Society was great. It was absolutely essential to the story. Though, when the Captain-Commander ordered Ichigo not to go to Soul Society I was quite pissed. Ichigo is a representative of the Gotei 13 and not necessarily a member. Therefore, Ichigo doesn't have to take orders. Ichigo should have called him out and told him, after Ichigo asked for directions to Hueco Mundo, that he was going to go rescue Orihime anyways. The more tension the better.
Urahara and The Vizard being pretty involved in this storyline is going to be money. We honestly haven't seen much fighting from either. So this will be golden.
Chad and Ishida. Honestly, I really didn't want them to come along. I wanted Ichigo to go against everyone without any help. One thing though, Ishida's promise to his father. Ishida promised his father he wouldn't involve himself with any Shinigami if he was able to help restore his Quincy abilities. Down the road this will make for some great entertainment.
I can't say that I have been more pumped for a Bleach episode in a long while. Next weeks should be great.
I apologize for the rushed review but I felt obligated to get it up. A certain someone has been bugging me
