Agreed or the best ending to an Anime that i've seen in the last year or so at least. Who would of thought Zero would end up being a hero at the end?

Awesome series. I've seen the anime but not the OVAs.

Code Geass is one of those animes that I've been told is amazing but I'm too lazy to watch. Same goes for Gurren Lagann. I did finally watch Gurren Lagann though. Probably the only mecha anime I've finished watching and enjoyed.

Gurren Lagann.

"Listen up, Simon. Don't forget. Believe in yourself. Not in you who believe in me. Not in me who believe in you. You should believe... you should believe in yourself!"

That is all that anyone needs to know, lol.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

I've only seen one episode of Gurren Lagann, and I thought it was awful. It's not that I hate Mech Anime or anything but something about the series just completely turned me off.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

Eh, I loved it. Had some really good characters for me, but if you watched the first episode and quit I can understand. It started off pretty slowly.

I thought Gurren Lagann was great for being over the top as it was.

Do you mean Zero or Lelouch? Either way, I thought his plan was brillant, if a little bit sad. Reminded me of the End of God Emperor of Dune. And whats everyones take, did Lelouch actually die as the author said or is he still alive?

Exactly. I have never watched a series that was as ridiculously awesome as Gurren Lagann was. None of it really makes sense in perspective (A Gainax theme evidently), but damnit it was awesome.

Gurren Lagann has to be the greatest anime ever made,I usually hate anything that has to do with robots,But Gurren Lagann was just too damn epic

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

Tbh Gurren Lagann was epic, but NGE still beats it for me.

Gainax + ridiculous unfathomable mech storylines = genius in most cases.
