Having JUST finished Death Note. Light can be summed up as a insane and a guy with a god complex from the very first episode yeah. Completely unsympathetic, who's only really admirable feature is his intelligence, but even then he fucks that up by proclaiming himself victor in the last episode (which was stupid regardless of how everything else went)

Near and Mello were very much L light and the show was at it's best with L/Light going after each other. Matsuda and Ryuk are great people, in fact I wish we'd got even more Ryuk he's pretty damn awesome.

Never really been happier to see a character get their just deserts than when Light was pathetically begging by the end of episode 37. SO HAPPY. And yeah i'm literally just finished it 20 odd minutes.

Also it's a pity there were no females in it who weren't terrible characters, cop had potential but the rest were uhhhh. The fact their goal seemed to be to fuck Kira was a little hard to believe.

Well from the manga or anime stand point, I didn't necessarily get that impression. But either way, my point was that Light isn't a bad character. I'm not really huge fan of Light, in fact, I don't like even the character, I too was very happy when he died, he deserved it, but I do think that the show is good.

I tried watching the first ep, and it wasn't what I was hoping for. I wanna give it a chance, but it just doesn't seem like it's for me. And I'm a Death Note fan.

I still need to finish the second half of Code Geass. I honestly went into the first season with an open mind. I hated it something terrible. But keeping that open mind intact, I will continue and finish the rest at some point.

I won't even get into Light vs. Lelouch, because it will boil down to personal preference, which I feel is something that is inarguable. All I'll say is that I liked both characters.

So I went to the local anime convention in Seattle, otherwise known as Sakura-Con, yesterday. Bought a weekend pass, but a new job kinda got in the way. Was going to dress up as Nemesis from RE3, but again, couldn't really prepare this year. Next year, though. It's gonna be awesome.

I did get an amazing complementary Evangelion gift bag thingy, though. It's got the NERV logo and everything. I love it.

And I totally plan on buying a bunch of shit next year as well. So far, I'm for sure buying a Rei bedsheet (not actually gonna sleep on it, probably will just hang it up), Evangelion on DVD and a Metal Gear shirt.

Damn, I'm already excited.

Right... and you're not? Look, I'm biased against (most) shonen jump anime as well but does that make my opinion or biased of the genre invalid or irrational? No, because I actually telling you why the I don't like it in the first place. I didn't just say, "Fuck Code Geass" from episode 1. I actually sat down and watch a few episodes and to tell you the truth, it couldn't hold my interest. Just because you love the show and think it's one of the best you've ever seen, doesn't mean everyone else will fall in line. I don't see it as one of best anime ever, but you do though and that's fine, but I will speak on the subject if I totally disagree. I'm also willing to say that it's not the worst either. I wasn't trying to make my opinion a fact.
