"generally?" more like almost all the time.
the only good dub imo are Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, and MAYBE Trigun

Cool once you get to episodes 140 skip it and go too shipuuden theres nothing in 140 to 220 except a bunch of fillers.

I, personally, have never seen an anime that is better dubbed, than subbed. It just doesn't happen. There really is a lack of voice actors in North America, and the ones we have usually suck.
Not to mention how we slaughter the original dialouge.
There are two main characters that I possibly would contest being a better fit. That's Vash the Stampede and Spike Spiegel.
Still, they can't carry the whole show. So in the long run, it's not better than the Japanese version.

Awesome comic, Seph =).

Sailor Moon had the best voice cast ever up until episode 65. After that episode, when they came back with new episodes, it went downhill, even moreso when they got that last voice actor for Sailor Moon herself. How did they even think of using her as the voice? It was the worst voice acting EVER. The original SM voice was okay but her second voice was awesome.

actually episode 136 - 140 is filler too.
that's the one where they go to the Rice country to infiltrate Orochimaru's lair...yeah, filler. it's crap filler too.
stop at 135 and then just watch Shippuuden. Filler is fucking horrible and makes me want to kill myself at the thought of watching filler. those 85 episodes of Naruto filler was the worst period of my life.
there WERE an episode or two worth mentioning tho. when Lee opens up his own dojo and some guy sneaks into the village and disguises himself as Gai is awesome.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread
There have been many times that I have considered starting Naruto, but honestly, from what I have seen on CN I don't think I will like it.
I understand(I talk about it myself, a lot) that dubbed and subbed are a lot different, but for the most part the actual story stays the same.
I don't know. Maybe one day I will start it up, but at the moment there is just too much out there that I want to watch, or am watching.

You should it pretty interesting I thought it would suck looking at the preview, but one of my friends recommended it and I never stopped since.
