Re: Anime Discussion Thread
Well, I've been reading Wolfen Crest. As a werewolf graphic novel, it's pretty decent. But on the whole, it should NOT even be taken serious. First off, the major problem I have with this manga is all the characters look like they are damn near 30, but in reality they are only 15. And then the violence going on in the school just seems unreal. And why set the story in school? It should have been the main character should have been on the run from the government or something. On the other hand the art is very nice to look at. In terms of character and story it's rather weak. Hopefully the later chapters can make up for this.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread
Just started watching this Hitman Reborn. I've been told I have a lot of shit to shovel through before it actually gets good... but it does get good... apparently.
On ep. 24 on Bebop, and uhh... I can't echo everyone's sentiments on this. Only actually liked 2 episodes throughout the whole thing. Flame shields since everyone loves CB but ehh, why? Seriously now. Unless the last two episodes are fan-fucking-tastic, I call overhyped, or I just missed the train and should've watched it years ago.

Eh... No. If you don't like it now, then you wouldn't have liked it back then either.
Cowboy Bebop was a hit or miss per episode thing for me, just allot more great hits and allot less "why even make this episode?!" misses. Like everything else, Bebop is a fan favorite for various reason on a fan to fan basis. Me personally, the series did things on a more fluent level than most anime I seen. The chase scenes, the fights, even the jetship battles didn't feel like they were constantly cheaply cut from point to point like other anime such as Naruto would do, you could actually see the kick go from point A to point B.
The only episode I couldn't REALLY get into, was the Red Dragon Syndicate related episodes, not that they weren't good, but after seeing them once, I didn't really need to see them again.
But episodes like Cowboy Funk, Pierrot le Fou, and Brain Scratch keeps dragging me back into the series.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread
I haven't seen Outlaw Star in a long ass time now. I wonder if it's still good as it was back when I first watch it. I remember I really liked Aisha.

I watched the first few episodes of OLS maybe 1-2 years ago, in comparison to when I first saw them as a kid, they were actually more enjoyable.
Actually, I have one episode of OLS in Japanese on my computer, oddly enough, I don't recall this episode being in Cartoon Network's rotation... Funny how hot spring episodes tend to magically disappear on that channel...

Lol, I remember that. Me and my friend were pissed about that. Sadly though that was the golden age for anime on that channel.

Yeah, then we started getting actual anime channels that was only accessible in a few areas, and though claiming they had so much more, would show the same damn things to sync with OnDemand, which ironically was how they met their end...
... Well, that and Funimation putting the vice grip on things...
