So I saw episode 19 of FMA:Brotherhood and loved it. Most definitely the best episode so far in the show, although the first episode was excellent too. Shame that they cut so much material off the manga but as long as the anime story in itself makes sense, that's fine. I tend to look at both as different mediums of storytelling and if ever I need details, I'll turn to the manga.

All of Mustang's subordinates are handled brilliantly in this anime, as opposed to the first one. The homunculi are another story. Lust had a much more important role in the previous one but this Lust, I prefer over that one.

Each homunculus is supposed to be one of Father's sins that he removed from him and Lust shouldn't be sensitive. She should be lusty and she most definitely was. The way she went out was also much more thrilling than the non-canon. The last scene of her full frontal face before she falls apart reminds me of someone I know irl.

Pretty much everything in this episode owned: Barry getting killed by Barry, Al for the first time, Lust's death, Mustang's total ownage and even Jean Havoc and Riza Hawkeye a little (Don't forget Black Hayate ;D). This episode was really action heavy but that's probably to compensate for the coming episode, which is completely conversational. Hohenheim is my favorite character from any anime ever so it's good to actually see him a lot (the first anime gave him 2 episode. BAH!).

The production quality, especially on Lust vs. Mustang was brilliant too. Besides the hideous Greed arc, everything they've done has been atleast good. This is already better than the original anime and that's really saying something.

Finished the first mini-arc of Umineko no Naku Koro ni.

Really, really like it.
Just fantastic vibe and feel about the whole thing, pretty chilling stuff (Maria's eyes...) and seriously epic music.
I'm using the SEACATS fansubs and they're being a bit sketchy with their releases so i'll probably wait the next few episodes out and watch them in mini-arcs or something.

Might give Higurashi no Naku Koro ni a spin in the mean time...

I finished Higurashi about a month ago. Umineko is better, but the first season of Higurashi is on par and actually scary. Confusing as hell, until the second season.

Since you've watched Umineko...

I thought Kanon was a girl.

Now he's just a FAGGOT.

And the ending theme is AMAZING.
