Re: Anime Discussion Thread
I watched it a few weeks ago and I was so confused. Okay, it's not the actual story from the anime/manga but atleast make sense. The plot was so generically useless and the actors did not match any characters. I was so looking forward to a real life Oolong.
I had a feeling it was going to be completely horrible. I just went and bought the DVD season box sets to relive the glory of DBZ rather than watch it be destroyed by hollywood companies trying to make a cheap dollar off the true fans.
FINALLY! Somebody else other than myself sees the light!
And you're right, when the people working on DBZ got into a particular mood, they did pretty good, but 75-80% of the time, you're just going "you joking... right?"

Don't worry, I've been vocal about my DBZ hate too. Anything after the original series is shit.
Yeah, I remember you saying that a while ago.

Hellsing was decent but the Hellsing Ultimate OVAs kick its butt all over the place.
I'll still occasionally pop in Alucard's assault on the battleship in the fourth one, followed by the Major's monumental speech after it and just sit there taking in the sheer magnificence of it all.
