Re: Anime Discussion Thread

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll look into those.

Episode this week was more of a setup for what's next. Next episode will probably be Hughes' final as the previews seem to indicate. Also, Kimbley might finally come out of the cave and in a matter of time, Greed will surface as well followed by those from Shin. So all in all, things are going to be picking up after next week

As you can clearly tell, Fullmetal is my favorite anime. In fact, it's my favorite form of entertainment (include books, movies, mangas, games w/e). I loved the altered plot in the first anime and by the looks of it, this will top that even.

Which really fucked up one?! I can count three!

Wait... You don't mean the "what's in the bag?" ending?

For nostalgic reasons I'm torn between Star Blazers and Robotech but most recently I've come to really love Gundam 00. Takes the concept/idea of Gundam Wing re-imagines it goes to another level. Plus because of the way it's shot there's little to no recapping of stories and footage that plagued Gundam Seed and it's sequel.

Other anime I'm quite fond of are Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex season 1 and 2; Last Exile; and Macross Frontier.
OMG! Finally someone to talk to! Have you seen anymore of Leiji Matsumoto's work? How about Galaxy Express 999?

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

for what it's worth Vampire Hunter D is absolute shit. Never seen Bloodlust so idk.

Try Boggiepop Phantom maybe? Not very scary but it is amusing.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

I've been watching School Rumble and Azumanga Diaoh. Absolutely fucking funny. Both shows are probably some of the funniest anime I've seen so far. I'll probably watch Noir next. I haven't watched the entire series. And oh, I've seen FMA: Brotherhood, and it's pretty damn good. I'll probably watch a couple more and probably stop watching at episode 9 until it gets dubbed over in the states. I still fond of the original anime series.

Oh, how about Blood: The Last Vampire or Hellsing for a horror anime.

Very few, if any, anime actually catch the "horror" emotion. Hell Girl and Boogiepop Phantom are probably the closest thing you can get to horror, and it ain't much. (Personally I'd avoid Hell Girl, it's a bit of a "one trick pony")

Now, this might be a offshoot chance to find a horror anime. But I do recall seeing some youtube Anime Music Video for some random anime whose name I cannot remember, Demon/Devil Amon or something like that. But to be honest, I'm not going to search it up, I remember watching the video once, and going "fuck no". Whether it was because the clips I saw was Royally fucked up, if it was nothing more than a "demon on a rampage" anime, or something like that, I don't know. But my anime senses are saying "don't even think about it".
