Potential spoilers in white.

That was a major turn in the story. I, honestly, wasn't expecting L to take such a big upper hand this soon.

Though, I knew that Misa wouldn't be able to communicate L's name and/or Rem wouldn't kill off L, at least this early, that is.

This is some great entertainment. I think I can get in one more episode before I pass out.

Also, don't ever download anything subbed by a group called ANFS. They are absolutely terrible. I am too lazy to look around for a different sub and I really don't like torrents. Thank God I only have one more episode to watch that was subbed by them.
Animanda used to sub them and did a hell of a job. the two best sub groups are Dattebayo and Animanda imo.

it's just too bad that Animanda had to pull all their subs because they got sent a cease and desist.

also for the Episode 15 spoiler, i forget what it was. was it...
when L met Light in college and said his name or after that when they were having a "rivalry" of sorts on the campus.

OR was it when L detained Misa?
if none of those, just pm me what it was

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

Seph, it was the second of the two.

Also

I take back what I said about Misa being out of the story. I really can't make that assumption. Also I just seen episode 16 =P.

Also, Bleach-Episode 140, the subbed version, has just been released in the past ten minutes.

Vizards>Arrancar.

It's great that you are getting caught up.

I still need to check out Elfen Lied, but Death Note still has my occupied.

WARNING, Potential Spoilers

Episode 17 of Death Note was absolutely fucking terrific. It was so suspenseful, I was at the edge of my seat the whole time.

This anime continuously surprises. Plot twists and 360 degree turns come out of no where, and guess what? They are always great. In a lot of animes the plot twists and turns end up ruining the story. In Death Note? It just adds to it's greatness.

I had a feeling after Misa discarded her Death Note that Light would do the same, but with some kind of twist. I really thought Light would find a way around relinquishing his knowledge and memories involving the Death Note.

Also, I really thought that Chief Yagami was going to make a serious attempt on Light's life. I was thinking the gun would jam or something else would indeed occur.

I really can't get a grip or predict any of this plot, and I really can't understand why. Usually I am the first person that knows what is going to happen. This could be attributed to many things. Mostly the great skill and the pure unpredictability of the writers.

I am glad I only have a bit of a leftover lab to do tonight, because I am definitely going to fill the night with Death Note.

Episode 140 of Bleach, Review

Great fights, but little explanation, at all.

Fights were amazing, but I felt the animation was lacking a bit of quality this episode. I am not sure why all of a sudden.

Some of my favourite moments

*Seeing more of Grimmjaw's reaction to Ichigo's Vizard form.

*Seeing Grimmjaw's reaction to Hirako's Vizard form.

*Urahara in combat.

*Kuchiki's return to the real world.

*Kuchiki's amazing increase in ability. Especially the way her Shikai looked.

I really wish they would have explained a little more about Orihime. Last episode Ulquiorra invaded the Senkai Gate while Orihime was travelling through it, but at the end of this episode they showed a cut scene of Orihime healing the two fallen Shinigami. I really don't see Ulquiorra leaving her, unless he destroyed her Hell Butterfly.

Who knows though, all in all, Death Note-Episode 17 9.5/10. Bleach-Episode 140, 6.5/10.

.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

the reason Death Note is so smart and keeps you guessing and is never predictable is because of one thing: Light.

Light is a genius!

just wait until episode 23!!!!

you're gonna be like "WTF! he had all that planned out since he relinquished the two death notes!"

there's always big debate in who's smarter, Light or L.

and

HUGE SPOILERS FOR LATER DEATH NOTE EPISODES (recommend not reading until episode 27 or 28 at the least)
who's smarter, Light or Near/Mello, and Mello or Near? and if Near or Mello are as smart as L
Re: Anime Discussion Thread

Light is a pure genius, I agree.

As of episode 17 I really don't see how people can debate who is smarter. L or Light?

L is smart, yes, but it's nothing ground breaking. Light, and his ideas, are just so complex.

Also Seph, just so you know the Bleach Movie was finally subbed and released. I know you aren't the biggest Bleach fan, but perhaps if you are bored it will give you something to watch.

Yeah.

It doesn't have any build up like the series does. So there isn't anything for you to anticipate.

The fights were great, there is no doubt about that.

I will add to my review a little later on. I just finished the 22nd episode of Death Note and I can't stop now. It's getting amazing.

I will also post my reviews on the Death Note series from where I left off.

It's terrible and honestly, it's a joke.

It's second rate actors performing a composition of a Bleach story while singing.

You won't be able to understand them and it's pure retardation.

If you are honestly in to musicals, it may be a good watch, but otherwise don't want your time bud.
