Revy from Black Lagoon > Any girl in the history of anime.

I'm sure Rez would also agree with me if he was here.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

Truth be told, I haven't been keeping up with Adult Swim in a while. The last thing that caught my interest was the last season of Venture Brothers. That show is funny as hell. BTW, I never found the Tim and Eric show all that funny.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

I have to agree with bjnelson on some characters he named as his faves. I'm a huge Rei Ayanami fan and I guess I'm a fan of Alita, she totally owns.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

I agree with that as well. No Vegeta in DB but Tien, Piccolo and other soon to be irrelevant guys all look badass. The whole story arcs and the undragged out episodes provide a better viewing experience.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

DB was nice, clean and simple. Off the top of my head, I can't think of anything wrong with it.

DBZ was obviously trying to one up it's predecessor. They were for a while then things started dragging on and final fights seem to last months (Which, for some, it did). But, it was a huge motovation to get people to watch anime and even make it. So, pretty much set the bar for most anime that we often see today, imo.

GT was an absolute mess. It was just trying to out do everything at once and just looked like over kill. Killed any credibility of some 'lesser' characters and focused on Goku way too much. There was a few interesting things, but over all, it's best to avoid this bad boy.

Who cares?

I remember the golden years.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

GT also had a horrible rap theme song. I did like some of the baby stuff, when it was still kept somewhat mysterious but mostly everything sucked.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

the un-rated GT episodes are far better. Nothing but beheading and tits.

But, the same can be said for the others...

Who cares?
