Fine, I'll change my post so for those who hadn't seen it can be "surprised". (As if Wikipedia doesn't do that to millions per second.) But that means you'll have to change your quote as well.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

I'd like to add the "Girl Who Leapt Through Time" to the anime movie list.
Came out in 2006 but for some reason its DVD (a 2 disk edition or something) recently got massive publicity here, got reviewed in papers, major posters outside HMV and the like, so it should be fairly easy to get a hold of.

All the Miyazaki talk got me pumped and i watched Mononoke. Again. Probably my good 4th-5th time watching it.
I know many would disagree, but Mononoke is probably my favourite Miyazaki film.
Might be because it was my first Miyazaki film and it has a special kinda meaning.

Also, how many different kinds of badass is Ashitaka when he catches that guy's arrow in mid-air only to grab his bow and shoot it right back at him?

I said it already, the only reason Mononoke is not my top Miyazaki film is because Laputa and Nausica are clashing with it in a three way tie.

And as badass as the arrow bit was, Ashitaka lifting Iron Town's gate with ONE ARM while pouring out blood and holding San, holds the winning cup for me.

You're thinking the original OVA. That was early 90's. The series and finale OVAs were late 90's.

I still need to get around to watching Outlaw Star

Damn... It's been a long time to be honest. I remember getting constantly pissed because it seemed as if PBS never finished the series, much like they did with Sakura Wars. If I was getting pissed about that, then yeah, it was good. too bad it's one of those hard to finds.

Ah dammit! I forgot to add Birdy the Mighty and Blue Seed in that list up there!

There is nothing wrong with spoiling something whilst giving your opinions about the Anime. At least in this thread, that is.

Just use spoiler tags.

But if you are trying to recommend an Anime for someone, I would stay away from doing it. And I know you wouldn't do this, so moot point.

Just a simple reminder for everyone.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

I totally watched some Anime last night on Adult Swim.

First was Bleach which I actually enjoyed. The second was a show called Moribito which I thought was complete garbage with a whole episode that didn't make any sense. It wasn't the characters that didn't make sense or their purpose it was what they were trying to tell me about this crappy gambling game.

The series makes far more sense when it's watched from the beginning. It's pretty good to me. Especially the fights.
