I'm going to say that everything you said about Digimon, is false. And while it may be the lesser of two evils concerning 'monster' shows. It's not a great show.
None of that crap is:
Digimon
Pokemon
Beyblade
yugi-oh
monster ranchers
All terrible. And as said before, excuses to sell crappy merchandise to dumb children. :[

I am pretty sure it's geared to 14+.
Yes, it has quite a bit of blood. Honestly, as the story progresses it gets even bloodier.
The filler episodes are purely for comic relief. In Japan humour doesn't have an age barrier.

Once the Soul Society Arc is over then there is the Bount Arc.
The Bount Arc is terrible.
Then there is the Arrancar Arc, which is money.
Oh, also, the seasons don't mean jack shit. That's just when they aired in Japan. Storylines don't fit in with the seasons.
I would go more in depth, but I am in a big hurry.

All the fighting ends on episode 67. Episodes 68-69(Double Packaged Episodes) officially ends the arc.
I don't really recommend skipping the Bount Arc, it's still decent entertainment, but it's not nearly up to normal Bleach standards.
There is some great fighting, but since the Bount Arc isn't in the manga, at all. It doesn't really do anything for actual character skill progression. The actual character personalities change a bit through the arc.
I finally have my PC up and running again, so now I can continue watching Death Note, thank God .

The argument was about over these statements "What's the worst of the worst" or "They are all equally garbage".
That is some paraphrasing for you.
EDIT, as of 12:22 AM GMT:
The 140th episode of Bleach, in it's RAW version, was just released.
A couple more hours until the subbed version is released. I may just wait until tomorrow, as I am hooked on Death Note atm.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread
I just finished episode 15 of Death Note.
and wow.
Potential spoilers in white.
That was a major turn in the story. I, honestly, wasn't expecting L to take such a big upper hand this soon.
Though, I knew that Misa wouldn't be able to communicate L's name and/or Rem wouldn't kill off L, at least this early, that is.
This is some great entertainment. I think I can get in one more episode before I pass out.
Also, don't ever download anything subbed by a group called ANFS. They are absolutely terrible. I am too lazy to look around for a different sub and I really don't like torrents. Thank God I only have one more episode to watch that was subbed by them.
