Very good, easily in my top ten. I'd recommend it.

Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to finish the series, don't think I even gotten half-way, but I was hooked on it when I watched it, awesome series. A must watch.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

Well, I finished watching Basilisk because if I didn't, I'd feel guilty and it's decent. Too many flashbacks and a very weird way of telling the story were my complaints with it. It was okay though

Started Monster, very different from the stuff I'm used to. I'm up to about episode 10

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

I don't really follow anime anymore. Mainly because I don't have money to. I don't download it because the anime industry is in horrible condition. I will get back into it once I have a job. Mainly the only things I am looking forward to seeing is pretty much all of Studio Bone's planned projects (Eureka Seven Movie, New FMA episodes and Xamd Eng Dub.)

I just realised i never finsished that one...got to ep. 18 or 19 or something like that and just sort of stoped.
It's the kind of thing you can just pop in and watch though so i'll probably get to it one of these days.

In the mean time, watched Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann in 3 or 4 sittings. Awesome stuff.

Monster is really great. The story of the "Monster with no name" bit is pure genius.

^ I loved that story too

I'm about 40 episodes into Monster. The plotline is great and how they stick to it, even from so many different angles is amazing.

If memory serves me right, the best is still to come.
It's the little stuff that make it so great really. Things that are there from the get go and are just part of the background, blending in so well you don't notice them anymore until they finally get involved and shake things.
Not mentioning any for obvious reasons...

I've pretty much learned to pick up on every detail after watching FMA.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

Just finished Code Geass and loved it. Great plot development and moves quickly, plus some brilliant characters, my favourites being Lelouch, Jeremiah, Viletta and Lloyd. Loved the ending bit - the whole "Zero Requiem" plan was brilliant.

I've read the manga of Reborn! and I can say that I love it too. Might give the anime a go sometime in the future.

Hmm, never heard of Monster, but I'll check it out.
