Eh, I watched both Outlaw Star and Rurouni Kenshin and they're pretty good shows. But I still think that Yu Yu Hakusho is one of the good shonen anime. Despite of the fact that the story is not the deepest one out there.

For real, they're coming out with a movie? Wow. When does it place? Before or after the series?

*Hiss!*
You dare insult YuYu!? Blasphemy!
I have Seasons 1 and 2 of Kenshin, I watched it enough play it back... Without watching it. Outlaw Star and YuYu Hakusho I love equally, I'd have to flip a coin to see which I'd watch first, especially if it's the first few episodes of YuYu or the Dark Tournament!

Yeah, really. I mean, I watched 16 episodes straight from the season 2 box set.

The animation is pretty great and the character development is excellent too.
Those who enjoy series similiar to Monster will like this. I highly recommend it.

Hmmm I've seen a lot of previews for that, and I thought it looked pretty interesting, and the animation looked phenomenal. I think I'm definetily going to have to check that out next. I just started Melody of Oblivion, so it may be a while.
Bleach has been awesome to lately, both the anime and manga.

DETROIT METAL CITY

Negishi Soichi is a shy and gentle teenager who dreams of joining a trendy pop band. However Negishi finds himself as the lead singer of a death metal band named “Detroit Metal City” and takes the name of Johannes Krauser II. As Negishi himself, he hates the music of DMC and tries to aspire to be a trendy musician. However when Negishi becomes Krauser, he becomes a different person and he’s great at it. He puts on such excellent shows; fans believe he is a devil. Negishi finds himself trying to satisfy both worlds but will he be able to?

Funny as hell and definitely warrants a viewing. It's a 12 episode OAV with each episode being than 15 minutes long.
