I used to be into Pokemon when I was in grade school, and then Yugioh after that.

I still play the Yugioh card game once in a while; it's great. And the Pokemon Red and Green original ones were great games for the GB; I still play them once in a while too.

the only anime show about monsters or catching them or fighting one on one with other monsters that is good is Digimon. that show at least didn't take it's audience for fucking idiots. plus the plot is 1000x better than any Pokemon, YuGiOh, or whatever.

Seriously. Of all the monster shows (Including monster ranchers.) Digimon was nothing but a heaping pile of shit. And had to be one of the worst.

The sole existence of such shows is basically to promote sales of merchandise like trading cards, games, toys etc. I think South Park addressed this well in one particular episode.

Just finished watching Episode 50 of Bleach, which happened to be a filler episode. What age group is this show geared towards? I see quite a bit of blood being shed and yet some filler episodes are obviously directed toward children.
