Yeah, they went to some lengths to get better-than-usual Engrish, but some of them got away
Beck rules btw.

For Sephi, just watched the first 6 eps of Azumanga Daioh back to back.
Very oddball humour to begin with, but once you get in the spirit of the whole thing and learn the characters, there's some brilliant comedy in it.

Nothing much really happens, it's just mini-stories of everyday school life, maybe 2-3 every episode but there's some seriously funny stuff in it, especially with the girl's teacher.
She rocks in all sorts of ways.

So yeah, worth the grab. Found it in .mkv files with subs and both Jap and English audio.
I watch it in Jap with subs but the dub is really (suprisingly? - given the nature of the humour and all...) good too so don't let the subs stop you.
If anyone wants links, drop me a pm.

Never had the chance to watch Beck, nor read its Manga counterpart, (never really tried to actually) but I know "Hit in the America" all too well, considering it's from one of the most popular Japanese bands BEAT CRUSADERS.

As for me, I just finished the Air Gear Anime, which pisses me off because they finished waaaaaay too early in the series.

Also finished Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann which, for a Mech Series, blows most competition out of the water.

But as good as it is, it took a huge blow after *Spoiler Alert, if you're one of those "don't ruin it for me" whimps, DO NOT READ* Kamina died. *End of spoiler, you may now return to your ignorant bliss* The series was still pretty good, but dammit, he was the reason I got into it in the first place.

Watched that show last November. Pretty decent.

I have pretty muche stop following Anime. I have already seen pretty much everything worth watching that has came to America. Code Geass R2 and English Geass are the only things I'm watching atm. The only 3 things I am looking forward to are. Evangelion movies to come to NA. Xamd, new anime by Bones. Eureka Seven Movie that is being green lit. That's about it.

Re: Anime Discussion Thread

I just finished watching Beck. Really good show, although it was a bit cheesy at times (that singing naked in a pool bit was hard to watch ).

Oh and it HAS to be watching subbed. It wouldn't be nearly as entertaining without the engrish!
