I feared this movie would "look pretty" but the story would be too convoluted because of the villains and fall flat. I will still have to see it for myself and perhaps find some enjoyment in the upside this sequel has to offer, but I'm not hyped to see a Spider-Man movie like I should be.
Especially when they began the plans for the reboot only like 3 or 4 years after the Rami series. There was no need to reboot the fucking Spiderman movies barely a handful of years after the original series finished. It would be like them rebooting Superman in 1985 with a whole new cast only a few years after SM3 which I know is awful but still there is no need for it.
See I don't believe in the whole"we shoudln't reboot it!" because theres no point. Did people complain that Batman was rebooted 3 times in the last 10 befores when Batman Begins came out?Not really
I enjoyed the first Amazing Spider-Man so I'm definitely looking forward to the sequel. Spider-Man is my favorite superhero of all time so there's no way I'm not going to watch it. I haven't watched the Tobey McGuire Spider-Man movies in years but I remembered loving them a lot, even the third film (then again I was a kid back then lol). I need to watch the Tobey McGuire Spider-Man films to make a comparison but both versions are very good in their own way imo.
