Re: True Detective

I have to ask since I saw the previews but I don't have the channel it comes on but it looked really good. So since the first episode has aired without spoiling it for me how would you convince me to watch this show? Like what made it so good that I should call my cable company and order the channel its on so i can watch it? I ask because I wanna know its worth it.

Thanks to why2cj for my signature.

- Superb acting, especially from Mcconaghey.
- Story looks really promising
- Production looks fantastic which is usual for HBO
- Best debut for a premiere in 5 years for HBO
- Every reviewer on the internet has given the pilot a stellar review
- Matthew McConaghey is a BOSS.

BEST THERE IS, BEST THERE WAS AND THE BEST THERE EVER WILL BE.

Re: True Detective

I wouldn't go that far in praise, I think a simple "very good" or "8/10" would be perfectly suitable, I know few people who were almost driven away by McCauneghy's psychobabble.

The thing I liked the most was the amazing southern gothic atmosphere, like I mentioned earlier.

Re: True Detective

The upturn in the quality of MM's work in the last few years since he ditched rom com territory has been superb.
