The TriStar 1998 Not-Zilla & Exorcist 2: The Heretic are two movies that hurt my very soul. Every big movie goer has those movies that disappointed them because it was a disservice to something they loved. For some people, it is Star Wars Episode 1. For others it is a big comic book superhero movie. For others it is The Last Airbender. Well for me, it is Fake-Zilla & Exorcist 2. I wanted a big budget, bad ass Godzilla movie made in the US, especially in the wake of movies like Jurassic Park, which pushed the boundaries of special effects farther than anyone ever dreamed, and Tim Burton's Batman which took a classic character and reinvented him for the modern age. And with the original 1954 film What was Fuck-Zilla? A soulless Summer blockbuster that was more of a ripoff of The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms than it was a faithful update to my all time favorite movie monster.
ZILLA was a well designed monster, though. Obviously no excuse for Godzilla, but he looked pretty badass, and I figure I would've liked the movie a lot more if they didn't slap the name Godzilla on it. I marked when he showed up in final wars.
All of the Harry Potter movies. I don't get what's so great about them.
Have you read the books?
TBH these movies have not been that relevant or interesting since first and second one. Also I believe they are meant for younger audiences....not suppose to take them really that serious. We could ask ourselves if they are actualy bad or we are too old to get them. Think about it.
