*A PRIMETIME PROMO*

The scene opens as PrimeTime walks out of his room with boxers on. He looks at the camera and shrugs. He then walks to the refrigerator and takes out a bottle of milk. Once again he looks at the camera with a expressionless look. He sits at a table. On the table is a bowl, spoon and a box of cereal. He takes the cereal and drops some into the bowl. Then he pours the milk in. He picks up the spoon and starts to eat the cereal. Spoonful after spoonful, mouthful after mouthful. Finally he gets to the last piece of cereal and eats it. He tips the bowl over and drinks all the leftover milk. PrimeTime wipes his mouth then looks at the camera.

"MMMMM."

With that the scene fades to black with the words 'HAMMERCOCK...LEL' ending this weeks promo.

I have dozens of issues with this piece. What kind of milk was it? Whole? Skimmed? Semi-Skimmed? Does PrimeTime suffer from lactose intolerance and have to drink soy or dare I say, almond?

What about the cereal? Was it Frosties? Shredded Wheat? Weetabix? Don't blue balls me about cereal details man, I wanna know if PrimeTime eats his Honey Cheerios!

Aside from those concerns, it felt short and effortless. You had 7 days man! 7 days! You know what 7 days is? a week. You know what a week is? 25% of a month. You know what 25% of month of a year is? 2%. You wasted 2% of a year you were given. I hope you are happy wasting 2% of everyones time. I want my 2% back goddamn it!

Eh it's not that bad. Nero/Thorn should be good.

Bianchi is a Ms Page signing back when she was in charge of the PWC during Clement's time off. On Clement's return, he signed Mr Jalapeño. Clement is no dummy. After last week when Page and Bianchi walked out together to interrupt his man to man chat with Dr. Nero, the PWC owner knew his antagoniser had to be connected with Page. Everything is starting to unravel.

The match is made. Jalapeño won his match last week, while Bianchi lost. Even though strings are being pulled Clement's match making pen still has powerful ink....

Tune in for the next Vortex coming soon.

Playing bodyguard as she speaks with a monster like Dr. Nero is little more than a favour in return for her allowing him a chance to pursue his dream of wrestling in the PWC. This Bianchi & Page conspiracy is an awful attempt to discredit two people loyal to the PWC, and I take great offence from the accusation.

I don't know ??? is a tough son of a bitch, but he often refuses to compete and finds someone to fight his battles. If ??? competes I don't think Shadow has a counter to the ? slam. But the betting odds say ??? finds someone to compete for him.

A Barney Williams Interview

"I always enjoyed wrestling for PWC, but even I knew it had to end eventually. You see, I had my final push but it failed. I have to give Shadow his due, of course. The man beat me fair and square to retain his championship and I have to blame myself for cashing in too soon. I know people judged me after that situation. I know people thought I left the company in shame but I didn't, of course not. I lost more than I won, and I never once complained. I never once pulled an AA and complained that things were not fair.

I left because I was due to become a father. After everything my own father put me through by faking his own death, I wasn't about to loose it all. No, I left because I wanted to be a better dad than what I had. I left because I wanted and I still want to give my little girl everything I never had. I want to be there and actually care for a child. I left because I wanted to actually be there for my child and not be off touring the globe. Yes, I enjoyed it but I think I'd enjoy spending time with my kid more.

I returned under a one night deal a few weeks ago, I had one apperence left on my contract and then that was it, I wanted out. I let Clement bury me and make Nero look strong. Me and Nero have had our problems, yeah, but I still wanted to make him look decent as a final thank you for planting the seeds to one of the best stories that PWC could of told. I never expected him to actually kill me but yeah.

I wouldn't change any of what happened in PWC, I had a blast of a time and I loved every minute of it. I lost constantly but I had fun. I had fun and that's all I really cared about. The management were perfect and even the talent helped me tell some great stories and taught me to cut some hella promo's on the show. I started life by attacking a man who I adored, Jensen was and still is one of the best and I ended life in PWC by having the best match of my career with Shadow.

I know you gave me one topic to talk about this and that is simply "where does PWC go from here"?. I like that question and the answer I can give is up. They have some amazing talent and while I can't stand that Masterson guy he knows how to tell a story inside of the ring. I checked out the indie scenes a few months ago on a talent search and I approched this one dude who turned me down. He was a former gymnist turned wrestler who has one of the most insane in ring styles I've seen in a while.

Lucas Hawthorne, he was an Aussie. He turned down PWC's offer but invited me to stick around and watch his match. I was blown away by him, his speed and ferocity shocked me. I know PWC can do wonders if they sign talent like that. If they sign talent who can make an impact then the only place they can go is up. Someday they will be global and I know it for a fact."

Vortex 11 - Two Weeks Away

It was my girlfriend who told me about the call. I had no idea they had even called until my girlfriend told me. The chat we had afterwards wasn't fun, she was heavily pregnant and wanted me to stick around and help her. I couldn't turn down the offer though, not one this big. I packed my bag and headed to the airport. The argument we had wasn't fun but she understood what this meant to me. I always promised I wouldn't return but they wanted me back. They wanted me back for one more night and I was going to give it to them.

PWC had called. I said I was never going back but one more show just seemed so cool. I loved the job, the industury and the passion and if I wasn't expecting a kid I would of gone back sooner. PWC was a home to me and I wanted to go back and enjoy one more night. That's all I wanted, was to enjoy one more night of action. I was up against Jake Masterson, a man who could tell a great in ring story and a man I wanted to work with badly. It was a win win, plus it put some money on the table for my girlfriend and kid.

Vortex 10 - Two Hours Away
Vortex 11 - One Week Away

Canada, oh Canada. I was excited for Vortex 10, my meeting with management had gone well and I'd snagged some front row seats to enjoy the show. The talent was good, even without any AA the talent was still amazing. Plus, some new talent had just signed and I was interested to see how they adapted to PWC standards. I'd also heard rumors of a very special person backstage talking with management and I was interested to see why, even though I already knew.

I liked people I met, many were talented and many worked with me to tell amazing stories or just have fun. I'd raced cars (again), got lost in London and met my girlfriend and moved in with her and made a little Barnetta Williams. Well, we were calling the little one Sandy Williams but you know, the point was there. It was still a mini proto-human that was half me, or 23 chromosomes, one of the two.

Vortex 11 - One Hour Away

A call forgiving me and wishing me luck. I knew my girlfriend would forgive me eventually, she understood why I wanted one more chance to make a statement while providing food for her and the little one. I'd be home by her due date anyway...probably. Unless I got hooked on professional wrestling again, then maybe not. No, I promised myself this would be the last time I wrestled, at least for a while. I'd been in and out for too long now. It was time to finally step back for good.

Being in wrestling trunks felt weird. I'd dropped down quite a few pounds and my old trunks hardly fit, much too wide. Instead the lads in costume set me up and made me an entirly new set that fit me perfectly. It felt strange, lacing up wrestling boots again, wrapping my hands in tape and sliding on the oh so familiar hoodie. My entrance was much the same and I didn't mind that, I liked my entrance, it was fun and fulfilling. I grinned carefully as I text a simple " <3" to my girl, hoping she was watching the show.

I heard Masterson and me get called. I had no idea where Jake was but I know I had this match planned. I'd been watching PWC while I was away and I knew the tatic that "Primetime" would play. I needed to counter him, that was the worst thing. He could easily outwrestle me, I was rusty so all I could do was keep moving, allow him to tire.

I felt a hand on my shoulder, turned. It was him, I hadn't seen him in months and he simply wished me luck.

Dr Nero

versus Bruce Thorn Jr. 2

“Clear!”

Nero pushes the defibrillator paddles onto the chest of the dying man. A large metal pole is sticking out of the man’s side as nurses frantically rush around the stoic surgeon. Nero as always stays calm while he attempts to save a life.

“Clear!”, Nero continues to work, not noticing his white coat is now covered in blood. He pushes down probing for a heartbeat. A blip is heard. A nurse relays the message to Nero, who immediately throws the paddles down and demands a scalpel.

“There’s no time to transfer him to a theatre. Bring the light closer and….”

… “Move!”

Nero swings a barbell into the tattooed giant’s chest! Other inmates circle around the two men. Eager to watch or perhaps get involved themselves to help the man which whom their allegiance falls with. Nero stands over the prison’s current big fish holding the barbell. He scans the circle for any movement from the blood thirsty crowd. “Big Fish” is holding his chest in pain, almost helpless to get up. Nero squats down so he can whisper in his attacker’s ear.

“Next time I guess you’ll move.”

Nero stands up and again quickly scans the crowd. “Big Fish’s” little guppies look eager to pounce. But Nero gives them a glance, discouraging any such course of action. His message is seemingly relayed and he throws the barbell away.

“Someone better help your friend to the infirmary, he’s going to need medical …

… “Attention!”

“You know it and I know it Clement. There is no one on this planet that is better than me. Be it in the ring or outside of it promoting PWC to a worldwide juggernaut. Who do you think is going to do it? Xander Black? The guy refuses to talk to the media, and by the looks of him haven’t had a shower in years. It certainly isn’t fragile Kyle Elric. He can’t handle the pressure. He’ll leave the moment it gets too tough. I want that title shot Clement.”

Clement loosens his white and green striped tie. He nervously clears his throat before looking up at the wild eyed Legacy Champion.

“Jason, you only have to retain your Legacy Championship one more time before you have earned your title shot. You are making the legacy Championship very prestigious every moment it sits around your waist. PWC is a bigger and better place already because we have two main events. The World title and the Legacy title matches are bringing huge amounts of revenue that no doubt your accountant has seen a large portion of it transferred to you.”

Clement takes a breath. He slinks over to his desk and sits on it trying to act casual, almost friendly. He wipes the sweat from his top lip before continuing.

“PWC is in a building phase, you’re a big part of it. Establishing a Championship that is not the World title is very difficult, yet your high profile and meteoric rise has elevated the Championship to levels not even thought to be achieved. Especially at this stage of the game.”
Nero still isn’t happy. “Clement, you can spin this as much as you want. But whoever holds the
“World’s Championship, symbolises they are the very best. I’m the best, but I’m not recognised as such due to your incompetence.”

Clement has had enough of this conversation and wants Nero to know his place. “Look, it’s very simple. Defend the Legacy belt one more time and you’ll get your World title match. No one will be able to dispute your number one contender status, because you had earned it. Earned it in front of the world. Please Jason, it’s one more match. If you’re as confident as you are that you can become World Champion, then defeating a Legacy Championship contender should be no problem…. Should it?

“I’ll jump through your hoops”, says Nero. “But you’ve just left a lot of money on the table. One of these days you’re going to…”

“Wake up!”

Ellie backs away, she can see how frustrated Nero is. He has just lost the World Championship on the grandest stage of the sport. And due to a stipulation, is unable to compete for it as long as the man who beat him remains Champion.

“It doesn’t matter anymore if I’m the best. Clement has blocked my right to be seen as such. What’s the point!?!?”

Ellie tries to calm her companion with a kiss, but he refuses her advances.

“The embargo on your rematch will lift as soon as Hammerpunch is no longer Champion… All we have to do is make sure he loses the belt. You’ll get your rematch as soon as we take it away from him. Clement will want to follow up on the success of his new Champion as soon as possible. Whoever it is Clement gets to take the belt from Hammerpunch, we have just got to make sure it happens.”

Nero is still unhappy he is no longer the Champion. He is less enthused that his nose has been broken in the war with the man who has taken his belt. Nero calms himself. He thinks to himself that the time it will take for his nose to heal should be about the same time it will take to ensure Hammerpunch loses the title to the next challenger. Nero will be ready then to get his title rematch and once again become…

“Champion”

Nero stands in front of the interim PWC General Manager Ms Brittany Page. The old saying “It takes one to know one”, rings true in every sense Nero says to himself. He is standing in front of a master manipulator, who hides herself behind her pink blouses and reading glasses.

“It’s been weeks since Hammerpunch lost the World Championship. MY World Championship. You will give me what is owed, MY rematch."

Page looks frightened, intimidated by the former Champion. She looks away hunching her shoulders together so her cleavage becomes more prominent in Nero’s direction.

“I’m really sorry Dr Nero, I mean Hammerpunch also deserves a rematch. I don’t know what to tell you. There’s…”

“Cut the scared little girl act Page,” Nero snipes. “Don’t play innocent with me. You might be able to fool idiots like Clement and the Board and anyone else you want to get this position of power. I don’t really care what you’re doing or what you’re up to. As long as it doesn’t interfere with my title shot. Do you understand me?”

Page cuts the act. She sits back in her chair and removes her glasses. She takes her hair out. As her golden locks fall over his shoulders like a waterfall, her green eyes stare up at the God Complex with true intent.

“While Mr Clement is away Doctor, I’m in charge. Hammerpunch getting his revenge on Crowley and trying to get back the title is box office gold. I’m striking while the iron’s hot. This match is going to make it rain money around here. So you’ll wait your turn like a good little boy. When it’s your turn, I’ll letchya know.”

Nero straightens his back, checks his perfect tie and smirks.

“Very well Ms Page. I’m just going to have to destroy everyone one on this roster until I get what I want. By the time it’s done, you’ll have no one left to headline your precious main events. Remember, this is all on…”

Yesterday

“You!”

Nero sits in the backseat of a stretched limousine. Ellie sits beside him in a tight pants suit. Her hair is up and she is taking notes. Nero is on the speaker phone with Ms Page.

“I don’t speak to underlings Page. You’re not in control any more. Put Clement on the phone immediately.”

The sharp, cold tone of the PWC Chairman’s assistant spits back over the speaker.

“Nero, the match will not be changed. You WILL go one-on-one with Bruce Thorn Jr on the last Vortex before your match with Jacob Bianchi at the pay per view event. It’s funny how you think you can throw your weight around demanding whatever you want. Reality check Doc, you have no power here. Like I told you months ago, you just be a good little boy and do what you’re told. Oh and if you anything but go to WAR with your new BFF Thorn Junior, that World title rematch of yours you keep barking about… It’ll be ripped up, and you can start from the very bottom again like when you first came in!”

As always Nero’s facial expression doesn’t change. He keeps cool and calm. He’s been in higher stressful situations than dealing with this petulant child.

"So what is it Ms Page that Bianchi holds over you? He has something big he’s blackmailing Clement with, that was obvious from last week. Too bad he just wasn’t good enough to beat Thorn. But you.. what does he have over you… or are you just some lovesick puppy that just does what he says. I thought more of you than that Ms Page. I guess you’re nothing but the bimbo we all thought you to be. Hang up Ellie, I no longer wish to converse with this… disappointment.”

Ellie happily hangs up her. Nero’s valet has said time and again that she would love to get her hands on Page’s neck. That might soon become a reality. In the meantime, Nero’s focus is split.
Bianchi has proven himself an excellent fighter. He took Bruce Thorn Jr to the limit last week. Only a handful of men on this planet can boast to doing so. Nero smirks that he is not only one of them, but at last meeting he bested Thorn. Nero’s new found respect for Thorn was born out of the war these two men had. This time Nero imagines Thorn’s ego will not allow this contest to be an easy one. In fact quite the opposite. Thorn will be wanting to even the score in the win/loss column between them. They have each other’s respect, but they are far from “BFFs” as Page termed their relationship.

“This is obvious Bianchi’s doing Jason.” Ellie only just now realises. “He has got Clement over a barrel and wants Thorn to soften you up for the pay per view.”

“Yes,” Nero agrees. “My preparation for Bianchi is not only interrupted, but I will have to put my body through a match with one of the best fighters in the world only days before I face Bianchi.”

Nero pauses, he is lost in his thoughts for a few moments. Something Ellie is very much accustomed to. She knows not to disturb him while he calculates the various options open to him.

“Looks like Clement wins this round. He always wanted me to “earn” my opportunities. This time round I am going to. Thorn Jr and I will go to war on Vortex. Ellie, you and I will go through our Thorn Jr. game plan from last month. We will re-write counters to the counters. We know each other too well now. Muscle memory will become critical to ensuring I not only win this match, but come out of it uninjured for the match with Bianchi.

As for Bianchi...”

7 weeks ago – Nero standing over Interim PWC Chairperson, Brittany Page – “… I will be the man who…

3 months ago – Nero standing over Ellie in his dressing room at Last Rites – “…. humbles him, for there’s nothing he can do…

2 years ago – Nero standing over PWC Chairman Ernesto Clement – “… for I am unbeatable…

4 years ago – Nero standing over his attacker in the prison exercise yard- “… this is my world now, so…

6 years ago - Nero standing over a dying man in the emergency room - “… he can’t be saved. I’m calling his time of death.”

The Adventures of Mr. Jalapeno and the Day of the Shushers
I wasn’t in my usual setting but for some reason, I was in the mood for some light reading. Luckily I had found a nearby library here in Manitoba where Vortex will be held. Even luckier is that they have the entire set of my favorite book series – Captain Underpants. Yes, you read that right, Captain Underpants. I drew a few looks of bewilderment as I entered the small library since I still had my mask on but the librarian didn’t seem to care. I don’t know, it’s just been super stressful with Masterson plotting God knows what against me and now, I’m pretty sure I pissed off Remy Dieu. Typically, not the kind of guys you want to piss of. But I’ve got help in Jensen so that eased my mind a bit. But yeah, it’s been a bit too stressful lately so why not do some light reading right?

“Ahh, here it is. Captain Underpants and the Perilous Professor Poopypants. Classic.”

My giggle could be heard loud enough that someone shush’d me. Ooops. I went to where the couches were and began to read. Reading Captain Underpants somehow relaxes me. When real life gets stressful, I just pick up a copy of Captain Underpants, pick up some red jalapeno peppers, and that pretty much describes my entire high school life. Oh boy.

But anyway, this story was great because of the villain, Professor Poopypants. Totally reminds me of Jacob Bianchi, my opponents this week on Vortex. Now, I don’t know if he’s a poopypants but he’s the clear cut definition of what a villain is. You look at the definition of “villain” and you’ll probably see Jacob Bianchi’s picture right next to it. Not a good dude at all. But that’s not the reason I chose this story. You see, Professor Poopypants wasn’t always a bad guy. And for Jacob Bianchi, I don’t think he was always a bad guy either.

As I was reading the book, my giggles got louder each and every time. I’ve read this book a million times but it always gets me to laugh because of how silly it is but also teaches me a lot of stuff despite it’s goofiness. I took a few moments to compose myself as I probably was going to get kicked out if I got shush’d again. Before I pick the book back up, I saw someone. In some ripped up jeans that covered the longest legs ever, a simple blue t-shirt that had a butterfly on it, some Ray Bans sunglasses, and a denim hat, yup, it’s gotta be her – PWC’s ring announcer, Emma Mason. But wait, she’s picking out a Captain Underpants book, no way!

The book she picked up was called Captain Underpants and the Sensational Saga of Sir Stinks-A-Lot. Ooooh that was a good one. It was the latest book the author, Dav Pilkey wrote, so hmm. Maybe she hadn’t read it yet? I used my book to cover my appearance as she was looking for a place to sit. And well, she sat right across from me. I slowly pull the book away from my face and she notices me instantly.

“Jalapeno!”

“Emma!”

Me and Emma had gotten along as soon as I got signed to PWC. It’s no secret that anyone who laid eyes on Emma Mason would instantly get a crush on her. It took every thing in me to keep my composure. Sure, we were pals but my goodness, Emma looked great no matter what she wore. She showed me the book she picked out.

“I had no idea you were a Captain Underpants fan.”

“Of course. Who doesn’t like heroes in underpants right?”

“You silly. Well, I just picked this one up. I know it’s been out for almost two years but I just haven’t found the time to read it yet.”

“Oh you’ll love it. Especially when… oh wait, nevermind.”

“Right. Let me read it first before we discuss it, dude! Anyway, what are you reading?”

I pick up the book to give her a better view.

“Ahh. Classic. One of my favorites. But hey, what brings you to the library? Shouldn’t you be getting ready for your upcoming match with Jacob Bianchi. Tsk tsk tsk. Heard the guy is bad news. Please beat him.”

“That’s exactly why I’m here Emma. In my story, the villain is… well, he wasn’t always a villain. And that’s what I think of Jacob Bianchi right now. Sure, he’s a bad guy right now but he wasn’t always. I know he’s my opponent but I think that the more I understand my opponents, the more equipped I am to defeat them. So I’m technically doing my homework on them by reading. Ha!”

“Oh Jalapeno, you’re such a silly guy, you know that? Seriously though, be careful out there. You’ve made a lot of enemies lately. I don’t see how anyone can hate you though. You’re so positive and so full of joy. We definitely need more guys like you in PWC.”

She flashes me her pearly whites. Dang, I could stare at that smile forever.

“A guy like Jacob Bianchi probably does better homework on his opponents than me but I don’t care what he finds out about me. What he’ll find might even make him re-think his ways. Might even make him, well, happy.”

“That’s one way to look at it. Wait, in your book, wasn’t Professor Poopypants just trying to help save the world by introducing an invention but was just laughed at because of how silly his invention was despite being helpful?”

“Story of my life Emma.”

“Ha! Good one. You’re a good guy Jalapeno. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”

“Yeah, well. I’ve got Bianchi in a match tonight. Remy probably has some plans for me as well. Then I’ve got Masterson breathing down my neck. Lovely right?”

“Meh. Nothing you can’t handle. Plus, aren’t you forgetting about the way your book ends?”

“Hmm?”

“Captain Underpants’s story here just seems fitting to your situation right now. Despite how nice Captain Underpants is, he had a weakness. When that weakness was exploited, Captain Underpants rose to the occasion to defeat Professor Poopypants. So what I’m saying is, Bianchi, Remy, and Masterson are all fighting you when you’re this happy and you have the strength to combat them all. Just wait til they see your angry side. I sure wouldn’t want to be part of that.”

Emma had just said what was going through my mind the past few days. I was taken aback because she read me like a book on that one (ha!). It was true, the last time I was angry, it didn't end well. My wish is that no one ever sees me angry. This trip to the library should do the trick to calm myself. Because, I knew that if I had lost it, it wouldn’t just be bad for my opponents, but it’d be bad for everyone around me – friends, family, the whole nine yards.

“Ha, you’re crazy Emma. I’m always cool, calm, and collected.”

“Sure you are ;)

She winks at me.

“Now shush, let me read this book and after, we can grab some food.”

Wow! A date. Or well, it probably wasn’t a date but I wish it was. Meh, don’t be weird Mr. Jalapeno, act natural.

“Yeah, I’d be down for that. Food is another thing that solves many of my problems.”

:)

Days Before Vortex #11

1200 Hours - Santa Monica, Los Angeles

If you've come here to tell me that you still like Jalapeño, I'm going to throw you under a bus.

Jacob Bianchi is sat at his desk with his head in his hands, looking down at a folder showing the beaming face of Mr. Jalapeño. Beside him is a notepad, but instead of the usual page upon page of notes, there's just a few scribbles.

To his left stands Gareth Walker, who is looking down at Bianchi with an amused expression on his face.

I mean, it wasn't the entire reason for me coming.

Bianchi grunts, his eyes still scanning the folder in front of him, trying to find some piece of information that has eluded him so far.

I'll hazard a guess and say you've got nothing worth using when it comes to Jalapeño?

Very little. Barring some late fees and minor noise complaints from his local library, he seems to be as spotless as they come.

I can't target someone whose worst crime is giggling too much while reading the crap he does. I mean seriously, take a look at this.

Bianchi passes Walker a page from the folder which shows a list of books that Mr. Jalapeño has checked out.

Walker only manages to read the first three titles before laughing.

This isn't serious, right?

Completely serious. There's another page, filled with books just like that one. Every book he has checked out would be suitable for a five year old.

Still chuckling, Walker hands the sheet back to Bianchi, who looks at it in disgust.

If I hadn't met the man several times before, I could be convinced that he was a genius who had made Jalapeño a facade, while the man under the mask plots world domination.

But?

But I have met him. He's no genius.

Surely there's still a plan of attack?

Despite the lack of usable information regarding him, I have a few ideas, none of which I'm overly fond of.

The first plan would be to revisit my strategy regarding La Pantera. They're both similar in style, speed and weight, so adjusting it to fit Jalapeño's moveset wouldn't take too much effort.

The second is my least favourite, but it's the easiest to switch to, so I'm not against using it.

Go on.

Jalapeño's love for spicy food seeps into every aspect of his life, even going so far as to eat just before he comes down to the ring.

I'm not following.

Despite his love for spicy food, his body is still human. His running and jumping is going to make digesting food a nightmare. Especially something so spicy.

This means I'm not just stronger that him in the ring, I'm capable of lasting longer. Keeping out of his range and forcing him to move will leave him in a poor position, but if I combine it with targeted strikes to the stomach, I can take advantage of his stupidity.

You're going to give him a stomach ache?

Bianchi sighs.

As I said, it's not an idea that I'm fond of, and it's definitely not the one that I'll lead with.

But?

But, it's the idea that I can switch to without too much of a change in my style.

Anything else?

I try to force Clement's hand.

Huh?

Clement's not setting up a match with Jalapeño without some alterior motive. He thinks he has something hidden up his sleeve, and I could just let him play his Nero or Thorn shaped card.

Why would he use them?

I don't think he's using them exactly, but both men will be more than happy to take advantage of me while I'm distracted. Thorn still wants to believe that I was the man who attacked him, and Nero isn't one to sit back and let me toy with him. He's going to strike back at some point, especially now that we're facing each other at Desolation.

So let me get this straight. Your options are stomach ache, potentially getting attacked by two former champions and disqualifying Jalapeño, or revisiting an old plan that you built for Pantera.

Correct.

And he's the idiot?

Bianchi laughs.

I'm not overly happy with any of these options, but they work surprisingly well together.

I can't believe you're on the back foot against a man who reads Captain Underpants.

Despite my lack of respect for Jalapeño, I must admit. He has been my most challenging opponent yet.

And this is why he's my favourite.

Get out.

Walker laughs and takes his leave.

Back at his desk, Bianchi glares at Jalapeño's picture in disgust.

How the hell are you outplaying me?

1600 Hours - Somerset, England

Well done, Jacob.

From behind his office desk, Sirius Lane raises his glass of red wine to toast Jacob Bianchi, who is sat with a bored look on his face.

Your turn, Lane.

Lane nods his head in agreement.

As we agreed. You do a job for me, I reveal another little detail of my life.

Bianchi smiles warily. In the three months that had passed since he first arrived at Lane's house, he'd had several chances to pry into the mind of Lane. Despite Lane's constant assurances that he would answer any and all questions truthfully, Bianchi was dancing around and hard hitting questions, instead focusing on Lane's childhood. All moderately unimportant things, but that didn't matter, as it was helping Bianchi begin to piece together the puzzle that was Sirius Lane.

Oh, and Mr. Bianchi.

Jacob's reflection was brought to a halt by the sound of Lane's almost exasperated voice.

I do hope we can stop skirting around the more interesting topics this week. I understand your interest in my earlier life, but as I'm sure you're well aware, there's nothing in there that can be used to target me in any way. You're a smart enough man to know that it'd be a waste of your time looking back there.

Who said I'm trying to target you, Lane? For all you know, I might just be trying to get in your head.

You're welcome to try, but you'll find nothing in there worth extracting.

I highly doubt that.

Lane shrugs his shoulders nonchalantly.

I'm merely a moderately successful businessman, Mr. Bianchi. Nothing you find in my head could possibly aid you in your evil ways.

Bianchi laughs and Lane soon joins him, both enjoying the little game that they'd taken to playing during these meetings.

Well then, Jacob. I do believe I'm due you some answers, so ask away.

Bianchi pretends to think for a second, not wanting to make it too obvious that he'd had this question ready since he arrived.

How have you managed to hide yourself so completely? I searched non-stop for every scrap of information that I could find regarding you, but I found nothing. This shouldn't be possible.

Lane smiles.

You talk about this like it's an impossible thing to achieve, but I'd consider it a surprisingly easy endeavour. You hunt information down using social media, and when the needs must, you'll gain access to bank accounts and things of that nature, often through illegal methods.

While you use this talent to find people and information, I use it to remove myself from the world. I don't have much of an online presence to begin with, so removing myself from that isn't an overly large challenge, but bank accounts and paper trails are. The thing is, those only become an issue if I'm actually the person with the money.

Bianchi looks confused.

So you have someone funding you?

In a way, yes. Despite my apparently grandiose lifestyle, I'm technically penniless.

In what way are you being funded?

Did you know that our driver is actually worth around a million times more than both of us put together?

Bianchi laughs.

You've been putting the money under her name? That's brilliant.

Lane laughs too.

I'm rather proud of that one, I will admit. The wonderful thing about maids and chauffeurs is that no one truly pays them any more attention than is polite. Most don't even learn the simple things like their name for example.

Bianchi looks guilty at this. In the three months that she'd been driving him around, he'd never cared enough to learn the first thing about his chauffeur.

Therefore, it's no issue to hide any transactions I make from the public view, as I've technically never been the one making them.

I'll assume that's how you've been getting your mail too?

You'd be correct.

Bianchi shakes his head in disbelief. He'd been fighting a losing battle from the very beginning, but even after months where he had the information he needed sat barely three foot in front of his face, he'd still remained blind.

It's annoying, isn't it, Jacob?

What is?

Being outplayed like this, despite your best efforts.

Bianchi looks up at Lane, expecting him to have a cocky look on his face, but instead, he's greeted by an almost caring expression.

I get it. As you're well aware, I wasn't born a businessman, but I took to the world with aplomb. Despite that, I often found myself out of my depth, losing more often than not. Given time though, I learned their tricks, used many myself and from then, it was simple enough to take whatever I wanted.

For now though, I think I've answered your question to the fullest extent of my ability.

Bianchi nods. He has several more questions burning a hole in his brain, but Lane had lived up to his end of their deal, so it was only fair that he do the same. On the other side of the desk, Sirius had pulled out a bottle and two glasses.

Can I interest you in a drink, Jacob? It's not the finest of scotches available, but it's a personal favourite of mine.

Bianchi gets to his feet and shakes his head.

Thanks for the offer, Sirius, but I should probably head home. It's a fairly long trip back, and I think I need to have a talk with my driver.

Lane laughs.

You're welcome to try and get information from her, but you'd sooner squeeze blood from a rock. Even I struggle to get a straight answer.

Bianchi makes his way to the door.

Information? I was thinking marriage. I've always fancied being a billionaire.

Lane's laugh carries through the hallway as Bianchi makes his way out of the mansion, his mind racing with the information that he had learned.

Sirius Lane was beginning to look human.

We open to the scene of a small pub, it is quiet with barely anyone around. Caricatures of some of the most dedicated patrons line the walls. An old fat man sits behind the bar, his balding head shining in the dim lights of the pub. There is noise outside, sounding like talking. Suddenly a sharp laugh hits and the door swings open. Ryan Barron and his crew walk in

“An’ I said You have a face that looks like a dug lickin pish aff a nettle!” laughs Ryan. His crew joking chuckle along with him.

“This Flexx lad, he soun’s like a right dick” says one of Ryan’s posse.

“Yeah, shoulda backed tha fuck aff. Spoilin’ yer datin’ game like that. I’da chibbed ‘im” says another, wearing a green tracksuit.

“Now Ronnie, stabbin’ ‘im would ‘ave gotten me fired. An you know how much ‘ave been waitin’ fer this gig. All those months o’ trainin. And you want me to waste it?” Says a slightly agitated Ryan.

“No..no no… thats not what I meant” says Ronnie in a panic. Suddenly Ryan puts an arm on his shoulder.

“sure man, sure… ‘ey Mick! Round a’ shots for me ‘n the lads. I’m celebratin’ inight. Got mah first victory in PWC!” shouts Ryan

The barkeep nods and begins laying out shot glasses. Filling them with brown fluid. Ryan grabs his and grins

“Aright lads! Bottoms up!” he shouts, downing his. The camera fades out

We fade in on Ryan waking up inside a jail cell. He looks about confused for a second before a sharp knock on the cell door happens. He groans and gets up, stumbling towards it. It swings open and Ryan falls into the arms of an officer.

“Sir, we are taking you for questioning about an incident that happened at Goldsteins Night Club” says an officer sternly. Ryan just shrugs and is dragged through to a room for questioning. Sitting in front of the inspectors. They drop a wrench in front of him.

“This was found on the scene where a one, James Jamieson was beaten. It was thrown off his face allegedly and he was struck in the back of the head with it. Eyewitness reports put you as having being at and fleeing the scene and further investigation has led us to believe you are the culprit. Have you anything to say in your defence?” says the first investigator, a stout man with a pencil moustache.

“Thats no my wrench” says Ryan

“Preposterous!” shouts the second. “You were seen carrying a wrench to the scene on CCTV!”

Ryan clears his throat “Mine wis a Monkey, that right there’s a socket”

The investigators look at it and then one gets up and leaves quickly. Time passes as Ryan sits there twiddling his thumbs. The Investigator returns in a small fit of anger.

“He’s free to go… CCTV confirms this isn’t his wrench...” he says.

Ryan grins and gets up “I’ll be seeing ya soon lads!”

Ryan dials on his phone and quickly puts it against his ear. “Bennie, get tha gym set up. I got a match ta train for”

The camera fades out.

Since, despite saying I would, I didn't review the last show, I felt it only fair that the REIGNING, DEFENDING, PWC WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT REVIEWING CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, reviews the RPs that have been posted so far.

Fuck formatting this, btw.

WWPNJB / 'Primetime' Jake Masterson

If I was still on Creative, I'd be marking this down as a no show from you. There was almost zero effort from your end.

Lariatoh! / Dr. Nero

The main chunk of your RP was brilliant, as is expected of you, but I don't think the first half or the end had quite the impact that you were looking for, which is almost upsetting. The scene transitions were something that I liked.

I enjoy the way you write Page a lot more than I enjoy her appearances on the Main Shows, because we get to see what is quite likely her real personality, instead of the one she puts on around Clement and Co. While it seems almost too obvious to say that you write something well, you often hit it out of the park with the more cuntish Heel types.

I'm also enjoying the fact that everyone knows Bianchi is up to something, but no one seems to have a grasp on exactly what he's doing. He's almost becoming a Devil of sorts in that when anything starts to go wrong, he's the first person you think of blaming, even if there's no proof that he was involved. Creative have done a better job of building my character than I have. Show offs.

You've made Bruce Thorn look like a fucking monster. There's respect, admiration, and maybe even a little bit of fear here. It's great. Interesting too...

Reviewing this RP without overusing the word interesting is a pretty fucking big challenge. It was interesting. Almost brilliantly so. But I just don't think it was as effective as some of your previous RPs.

Interesting.

GhostOfProtocol / Barney Williams

There's not a whole lot to note here. I liked the RP, but I wasn't blown away. It was a little short, but it was fairly effective in telling Barn... Ba.. Williams' story.

Fairly good job.

Jacob Bianchi / Basically the Greatest Man Alive Today

I tried to continue the story with Jalapeno here. He's so out there that it would make sense for even Bianchi to be a little out of his league in dealing with him. He's so used to the regular person that someone so odd would be able to throw him for a loop. I'm hoping I managed to put over Jalapeno a little too.

In response to an earlier review (by NotTheRealOwen if I'm not mistaken), I said I might not always be completely grounded during my RPs, but I think this might be the furthest from reality I go.

I'm not entirely sure how hard it would be to remove yourself from the internet, but I'm sure you can all go with me for this one. As for putting your money in someone else's pocket to keep yourself out of the picture, I assume that's a lot easier to get away with.

I'm probably going to keep skipping ahead of time for these meetings. You don't need to see the weekly ramblings of the two, nor do I think you need to see Bianchi at work. It wouldn't be all too interesting, so I'd like to avoid having to bore you with those details.

No mahogany this time, Lari. You're welcome.

JamJam22 / Mr. Jalapeno

We've already been over how much I dislike this gimmick, so lets move onto more interesting things.

I'll say it again. You don't need more silly characters. It's the mistake you made with Gino. You need a straight man who you can play off of. Your best RP came when you were teaming with Masterson, because we weren't being overwhelmed by your character's nonsense. We had someone we could relate to. Someone who would grow tired and fight back, inadvertently becoming an extension of the joke itself.

Again, I point to Deadpool. Your two characters aren't the exact same, but they each share a trait. On their own or with someone like them, they're just annoying, and it takes away from the quality of your writing.

Mr. Maggot / Ryan Barron

I really dislike this gimmick. I said that when you posted your character sheet, and I'll maintain this opinion until one of us eventually leaves the Fed. Nowhere in Scotland have I ever seen or heard people talking like this. Ever. Sure, in Glasgow, there's a ton of cunts, and they all talk like fucking idiots, but even there, it's not this bad. It just seems like an awful parody.

Somehow you've managed to fit two segments into an incredibly short RP. I'm not sure if this is a criticism or begrudging admiration.

Yeah man, apologies about the gimmick I just wanted to do something fresher than what I was doing at GCW (I replaced Shio as owner as well, so thats been 'fun') and I wanted the challenge of writing something different. So far it seem's i'm fucking that up lol. Not to sound too much like a dick, but where I stay I hear people like that about 50% of the time (Its Aberdeen and in my experience it tends to be people trying to 'sound pure hard') The RP thing is easily explainable, I forgot the deadline was today, I'm in college and dealing with a lot of deadlines right now so shit gets a bit lost in my head sometimes. But yeah, I'll take what you said onboard and see how I can improve this steaming pile of shit that is Ryan Barron XD

#27 · (Edited)
I forgot to post earlier that Shadow, Flexx "the GOAT" Palumbo, and some guy named Jensen has been granted a 24 hour extension. Since there is a little over an hour left until deadline, all remaining RPers who haven't posted their RP can have the extension as well.

Prelude.

"Frozen by fear, they gathered, stand and stare in despair."

****

Stephen walked among the silence of the gravestones, the only sound on this gray and windy morning was the crunch of the gravel beneath his shoes. The cemetery was empty except for him. He had parked in the small lot beside the entrance and took the path he knew all too well up along the small pond by the tiny white chapel and past the tall pine trees that stood sentry. The pathway wound down a small cluster of shrubs and ornamental grasses which were fading fast as autumn slipped from the riot of October colors to the mundane browns of November. The surrounded hills offered a few pockets of remaining reds and oranges but they were dull and offered little contrast to the primary pallet of slowly vanishing yellow. Angry gray clouds swirled across the morning sky, threatening no rain but blocking out all but the occasional glimpse of sunshine. A cold dampness rose from the ground and Stephen shivered as he approached the tombstones he visited every Sunday morning. In part ritual and part habit, he touched the two stones one at the time, allowing his hand to rest briefly on the first and to remain gently, lovingly one the other. His mom and dad were buried together in the same plot, both names chiseled neatly on the marker. To their right, the gravestones etched with a bouquet of roses, his loving “…” rested eternally, wife, mother and friend forever.

Hey, Mom. You know I marry Katherine, even got a little girl.

A fleeting smile of satisfaction crossed his lips.

I wish you could see her, I swear she looks just like you. She would have loved you.

Stephen sighed, took a few breaths, bringing his mind to still further clarity. He remembered everything; all that passed before him.

He stepped purposefully in front of his father’s grave and whispered quietly in the wind.

“Thank you.”

Now I know what it means to live for someone else. Whatever is good in me is because you showed me how to take love by the hand. And so now I can share it with my daughter; Lilith. So that she can understand. I’m taking care of the church just like you wanted, we’ve got plenty of new people joining up in the past year. The elders say I do a fine job preaching just like you.

He lifts up his head, his face, his eyes to heaven. At that moment he felt a soft touch upon his hand, and he saw Katherine looking at him. She had fair skin, bright blue eyes, and pink lips. She was wearing a pure white dress that was strapless. She stood out against the gray scenery. Her golden hair fell in rich masses over her shoulders, her cheeks were pale as death, her lips moved softly as she whispered.

Pick your emotions full of sorrow, and runaway with me tomorrow.

The gray skies were just filling with light as a white glow slipped over the horizon in front of him. The air becoming thick and the smell like sulfur disperses around them.

Full enough to almost be it, cold enough to not quite see it, wake up…

¡Wake up!

He feel his lungs collapsing as he runs out of air, fast. There is a pain in his chest and he attempts to feel it with his hands. His whole body feels uncomfortably damp. His vision slowly fades to a blur as he look up to his parent’s gravestone one last time.

What is this?

This pierced emotion. This despair.

She touched his face, her palms gently cupping his cheeks, warming his skin. Her hand moved over his chest. The pain faded as though her caress had soothed it away as his vision faded to black.

We’ll try and ease the pain but somehow we’ll feel the same…

****

I gasped, ripped from the dream. My eyes flew open and, winced. My head ached and my entire body was sore due to deadly wounds and my legs could barely move. I couldn’t make out her features but I saw her silhouette and felt her hand pulsating with each beat of her heart. My palm streamed blood, and a gash above my right eyebrow trickled into my eye. The acrid smell of burning tires and burning gasoline wafted through the window. In front of me I saw the terrific heat from the fire. The bright flames dazzled my eyes, and I could hear the pyre crackling as it started to consume the car. I glanced over at Katherine, her features, once bright and vivid, now looked drawn and tired. And a growing red blood stain spreading over her white dress. Her eyes were slowly closing.

No. Wake up, wake up… come on, we have to get out here.

The fury of fire belched up churning clouds of smoke, and somewhere in that swirling darkness my memories and perhaps a piece of my soul floated high up into the ebony winter night. It was all a dantesque dream that I was living. A nightmarish hell that make me want to scream.

Outside the sound of car doors slamming suddenly, send chills down his spine, and the despair pierced once again through his body. He could hear the distinct sounds of footsteps walking down the concrete near the car. Then a voice said:

Seems like they have survived. Go try the door and take them out of the car. Just remember, his Majesty won’t tolerate any shit tonight.

Tires popped from the heat and the back of the car exploded. The heat and smoke from the fire sneaked its way through the branches of the nearby trees. She glanced back at me, the red stained her dress crimson.

I’m still here… and I’ll keep fighting to save the rest of me.

She pointed at her belly.

We’ve been blessed, and for that alone we need to survive. Remember you told me that before.

****

I’m still here… daddy, wake up.

¡Wake up!

Crowley shot a look of concern in his daughter’s direction. He simple stroked her blonde hair away from her forehead, tracing contours of her face with his hand.

I’m here with you. After all, the world is drawn into your hands, and is etched upon your heart. I’m just happy to be at your mercy.

She smiled and wrapped her tiny arms around his neck and hugged him.

Please, tell me how you and mommy meet each other.

4 days before Vortex, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Stranger

When the world tilts on its axis and the ground opens up and consumes you, how do you fight back, how do see the end when the beginning hasn’t even started.

I watched through restless eyes. He wanted this so much. It was an obsession to him. He trained during the day and trained again at night. This fight consumed him, took over his every waking moment.

I told them he wouldn’t be of any use to us this week, not before this match. He wouldn’t look for the girl now, his focus lay elsewhere. But they insisted anyway. So I watched in the shadows. They said he was the key to finding her or all of this would be for nothing. Every sacrifice I made came down to this. But so far, she couldn’t be found, or didn’t want to be found.

Thorn leaps over a puddle on the road as he continues his morning run. His pace was breathtaking. I almost couldn’t keep up. Almost. I was his shadow now, you can’t lose your shadows.

He stopped and bent down, his chest heaving, sweat dripping down his forehead, he moved his hair plastered to his brow and continued on. I saw it then, a slight limp in his step before it disappeared again and he took stride and ran. His leg wasn’t fully healed. An injury suffered at the hands of the very he faced in 4 days.

There won’t be anything left of him to find her after this.

Obsession was a dangerous thing. What fueled it though? Was it revenge maybe? For what Nero did to him at Hell’s Judgement. I knew that taste well, it drove you beyond your limits. It made you do things that you didn’t think you could. But this…..this wasn’t revenge. It was something else. Even in these past few weeks of watching him, studying his every move, I couldn’t find it, I needed to know.
He was at his destination now. I watched from through the shadows and the icy winds, away from his eyes. I couldn’t let him see me again. He clutched the door handle of the gym, taking a few deep breathes before he entered.

Thorn's Gym

The Patriarch

Ernesto Clement wouldn’t answer his phone. I called and called and called again. Maybe it was time to contact, Ms. Page. What was I expecting? After what he pulled in that match with Bianchi. The man has lost his mind. He put Bruce in such danger, such peril and for what?

A match with Nero of all people after that hellacious match with Bianchi last week where Bruce only just manged to escape without severely injuring his arm. He makes a match with Nero again. The man who almost ended Bruce’s career.

His obsession with beating Nero took him down such a dark path heading into Hell’s Judgement. It was all he could think about. He left himself open to destruction from a man with no heart and with no consensus, a stone cold killer. A man on the war path looking to regain the World Title. And yes, Bruce survived, he impressed a lot of people with maybe his career performance even in defeat, but he still lost. He still got injured, an injury he hasn’t fully recovered from. How could Clement do this. Is this some kind of revenge for Bruce winning that match against his new golden boy, that snake, Bianchi? What’s their relationship? He needs to know that I won’t stand for it. I won’t let that man take advantage of my nephew.

I picked up the phone and called once more. It was warm to my ear. His secretary Jenny answered. She apologized meekly as I complained about her boss not returning my calls.

You tell Clement I won’t stand for this, I won’t let him try and destroy my nephew like this. That man won’t get away with this, I…….

My call was cut off. I looked down to see two fingers pressed to the hook switch. When I looked up he towered over me with a face like thunder. It was Bruce.

Uncle Tommy, what do you think you’re doing?

I was trying to tell Clement exactly what I think of him after he put you in a match with Nero. Him of all people after the disgrace that was the ending of last week's match with Bianchi.

Bruce let out a sigh and shook his head despondently, the sweat cascading from his head. He had gone out on another morning run. If you could call it a run, more like a flat out sprint. He’d been pushing himself beyond anything I could call safe after we got word of the Dr. Nero rematch. It was over-training and I tried to warn him but he stubbornly continued, thinking he could push past the pain.

I want the match, Tommy.

He looked at me with hard, unflinching eyes. He meant it. He wanted the match with everything he had. He couldn’t see it, how this obsession with beating Nero would be the end of him.

Bruce, your leg isn’t fully healed after the last match you two had, then there was last week and your right arm after Bianchi nearly destroyed it. Let me find a way to delay the match. Maybe…Maybe I can speak to Ms. Page, she might be more receptive, I….

NO! I want the match.

Bruce pulled off his sweat soaked t-shirt and threw it across the room before slumping into a chair in front of me and running his fingers through his hair in frustration. He looked up as we both locked eyes, the hardness in his all gone now. He stood up again and placed a hand on my shoulder.

So you think I’m obsessed with beating Nero, that it’s clouding my judgement and making me weak. You also don’t think I can beat him, do you.

I tried to answer but he cut me off once more.

No, for once in your life just listen.

He let out a sad smile and I nodded and listened, maybe for the first time in either of our lives.

Don’t try to deny it. I see it, Uncle Tommy. I know you better than anyone. I see it in your eyes right now. You don’t think I can beat him and I understand why. That’s my fault.

Do you remember Desolation I. It was the night I made my PWC debut. You know who started out with me on that show? People like Jensen and Crowley. Movie star Jensen will probably be in the TV title match at Desolation and Crowley became one of most dominate World Champions PWC has ever seen. And what about me, I’m not even close. Fast forward to Desolation II and I don’t even have a match on the show.

Bruce, I….

No I’m not done Tommy. What have I done in that time? Win the TV title and then lose it. Come close to beating Nero but then lose? Beat Bianchi last week but then not get scheduled for a match on the PPV. Do you remember the first time I ever stepped into a ring?

I do, like it was yesterday.

I remembered that day well, it was etched into my memory forever. Bruce was a wide eyed 5 year old who loved coming to the gym and watching his father train. I took him into the ring and the look on his face was priceless. Out of the blue he said he wanted to do this one day. And he did.

Do you remember why Uncle Tommy? Do you remember what I told you before I had my first match, because I remember what you told me? You told me you believed in me, that you knew I had what it took to actually do it, to make it real.

I remember, I do.

It was his first match. He’d trained ridiculously hard for so long and when the time came to have the match he wasn’t nervous at all, he looked at me and told me how he wanted to change things, change the wrestling world forever. He had that fire, that warrior spirit.

Bruce looked at me then, with calmness and clarity.

Do you still think I can, because it starts here with this match with Nero, Tommy. Somewhere along the way you forgot about that.

I want....no I need this, I need to beat him. I still want to change the world and I still believe I can do it but I don’t know if you still believe.

The fire was still there. I saw it again. The 5 year boy who said he wanted to be a wrestler and then the young man who said he wanted to change the world. He was here right now, as a strong man ready to face one of the biggest challenges of his life.

What a fool I’ve been.

I placed both my hands on Bruce’s shoulders and looked into his eyes.

I believe. Now more than ever. You can beat Nero, you will beat Nero.

I pointed to his heart.

That is what you have over him. Not skill or mental or even physical strength. That. Your heart. I believe. I’ve always believed. I forgot, but I remember now. I’m here with you all the way.

I turned towards the rest of the gym.

Where are you going?

Going to find some sparing partners for you, we’ve got a match to get ready for.

After all these years, I owed him this, in this his greatest hour of need. I wouldn’t let Bruce down.

***

The Warrior

I watched uncle Tommy scurry away to go find me sparring partners with a smile on my face. I needed to beat Nero like I needed air to breath and Uncle Tommy was with me now.

I won't let him down, I won't let myself down.

Thorn went to carry on with his work-out when a wild eyed Doug Ramsey entered the gym. Ramsey pulled out his computer case and then his laptop before motioning for Thorn to join him.

Doug, what’s up man. Did you get that footage of Nero I wanted….

Bruce, wait. I’ve got some news for you. It’s Anthony Bruno.

Doug fired up his laptop and pulled up a news headline. “Anthony Bruno brutally beaten in Prison and subsequently hospitalized”

The man had a lot of enemies. It made sense that some of them would want to get to him in prison. But something about their last meeting and this turn of events made him uneasy. He remembered what Bruno had said about Cassie and the danger she was in.

We have to find Cassie, Doug.

3 days before Vortex, State Penitentiary, Medical Facility

I had gotten the call early that morning. The sound of Anthony Bruno’s beleaguered voice still rang through my ears.

Come meet me, please, it’s about my daughter.

Was this another trick from the man who killed my parents? Why was I even here. The guard escorted me to Bruno’s room. The man laid in his bed hooked up to drips, his face bandaged up. I could see a badly swollen left eye and cut lip. One of his arm hung limp next to him. His attackers had left him a bloody mess. As much as I tried to fight it, there was a part of me that enjoyed seeing this man here powerless and defeated. Bruno opened his bloodshot eyes and looked up at me as the guard left them.

Thank you…..for coming.

Don’t. I didn’t come here for you, I came here for Cassie.

I know. I called you here for her as well.

What happened to you?

I did what I had to.

My ears peaked up at that.

What?

I did what I had to speak to you…alone. What I’m saying is I organised my own beating so I could meet you here, away from prying eyes and ears all around us. So I could give you this.

You expect me to believe that you would do this to yourself just so we could.....

Bruno didn’t wait for me to finish. He lifted his free but weak and frail arm and pulled a piece of paper from the behind his pillow and held it out for me to take. I looked down at his hand suspiciously. I felt the anger build inside me.

You can’t manipulate me Bruno, I won’t let you.

This isn’t about you or me, this is about my daughter, please take it.

I begrudgingly took the paper in my hand, I did it for Cassie, I owed her this at least. I looked down at the paper and it was a location and a time.

What is this?

A lead, something that could lead you to my daughter. At this time and at this location, there’ll be a meeting and a chance to find her.

So you think I’m stupid enough to blindly follow this to whatever trap you have laid out for me Bruno. I’m not doing it.

I went to leave. Let this evil man suffer in his own misery. I’d find Cassie on my own.

Wait, please I’m begging you. I’ll do it. I’ll confess to everything.

I turned around to look at Bruno. He was crying.

I’ll tell the truth about your parents. My part in their death. I’ll confess that I gave the order, that I was behind it. I’ll tell the truth. I'm done anyway.

The truth. It didn’t seem real to me. For most of my life I wanted to hear those words from Bruno. The truth. My parents name, my uncle’s name. All of it cleared, people would know the truth finally. I looked down at the piece of paper once more and then to Bruno again. This was real, I could feel it.

I gave the battered and broken man a nod and he nodded back slowly, before taking my leave. I turned as his shrinking voice managed a few last words.

Find her Thorn, please.

Outside the prison I walked towards my car with the world a blur around me. What was at the meeting outlined in this piece of paper and how was it connected to Cassie? It was important enough for Bruno risk everything for. My car was parked next to a dark alley outside the prison. I walked up and then.....

And there I saw it again. The shadow that followed me from before. The flash of whites of the eyes were as quick as before but I saw it. I ran towards it with everything I had.

Who are you?

The slight figure moved with unerring grace and quickness, with their long raven hair and a black scarf covering the lower half of their face, as both swirls behind them in the cold winds. But I was fast too. I gained on them and went to grab the scarf and pulled it back. I was stronger and whoever it was went down. I looked down to see their face staring back up at me.

You’re a….

She looked up at me with cold unflinching eyes, and then sprung up with a swift kick to my head. I went down. This time it was me looking up at her before she disappeared into the shadows again. As I picked myself up with my head still groggy she was gone as quickly as she appeared.

Giant Ol' Monsters Afraid of the Sharks...

A few days before Vortex 11, Somewhere in British Colombia

The snow began to fall again. It drifted against the trees, and fell softly to the ground. The crew on set worked tirelessly to keep the snow in check, but continuous breezes from the north worked against them. The gust of wind rustled the tree tops shaking more snow onto the ground. As the crew continued to shovel outside and keep the snowfall at bay, Morgan LaClaire was bundled up in her trailer away from the elements of the Canadian wilderness. At that moment, there was a knock on her door.

Come in!

At that moment legendary directer Pierre Belmont walked through the door. The infamously stern director looked more annoyed than usual.

Where is he? How are we supposed to get my movie done if this man of yours refuses to show up.

Morgan, used to dealing with the hot heads in Hollywood remained calm. She walked over to her very expensive espresso machine, swinging her hips the only way she knew how. In a few short moments she had to fresh cups of coffee, one for her and the very angry French man in her trailer.

Listen, he will be here. And if you remember, we are doing you a favor here.

I know. I know. But we should have been filming hours ago, and my crew has been hard at work. Where is he?

Morgan smiled. Most people don’t know it, but there are actually five, not four, time zones in the United States: Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, and Jensen time . The Jensen time zone is usually situated within the city limits of Portland, Oregon, where he resides, but point of fact it’s located wherever he’s standing at the moment. Jensen time is kind of like bullet time in The Matrix, only slower. Or better yet, it’s like that scene in Interstellar where they explore that water planet orbiting a black hole for 20 minutes, and by the time they get back to the ship, 20 years have passed on Earth. Morgan continued to explain.

Don't worry, he pulls this stuff all the time. He had once missed a flight because he fell asleep putting on socks, which I think had a lot to do with the strong herbal tea he drinks. He's a very unique individual, that's why you wanted to work with him.... and that's why I love him.

Pierre Belmont paused a few moments before headed towards the door.

Well Ok, I trust you. But he better not dissapoint.

Don't worry about that. He doesn't know how.

Twenty minutes pass until she notices the Portland native out of the window of her trailer. He slowly walks towards the camper ignoring everyone he walks by. Bundled up from head to toe, the PWC superstar made his way through the snow. Morgan can already tell that his mood has not gotten any better since she last seen him this morning.

Sweetie, where were you?

Oh you know, just taking in the sites. So much natural beauty, its a shame it is going to be eventually torn down for strip malls and more Orange Julius stands.

First of all that will never happen because this is protected wilderness. Secondly, Orange Julius? This isn't the year 1996.

Its all the same. The point that I am making is Mankind is evil, Morgan. We behave like serial killers. Giant ole' monsters...
Soon coyotes will be walking around to nothing but ghosts in these parks.

Morgan took a deep breath before walking towards the PWC superstar. Putting her arms around him, she pulls him closer.

Listen, I have been worried about you. It seems you haven't been yourself lately, especially now that this Hunter Jackson? Remy Dieu situation has involved poor Haley.

Jensen listens as Morgan speaks. Fixated on her hypnotic eyes, his gaze remains locked in place.

I know someone who can help you. There was a time in my life when I was lost and she helped me put things in perspective. I know she can help you...

Jensen nodded.

Well then it is settled. I'll make the call and you get out there and act!

Jensen smiled and walked away without saying anything. Once outside the trailer, the Quebec born actress pulls out her cell phone.

Hello, Its me Morgan. He is ready to meet you now....

FLEXX PALUMBO

The camera cuts to a location within a gym. People of all shapes and sizes are hard at work on their physique. Women are on the treadmill, men in the squat rack, and Flexx Palumbo sitting down drinking a can of Gnarpump extreme. Extreme Disco flavor.

After taking one final sip, he throws the the can of pre-workout hard against the wall, scaring a few members of the gym. Soon he feels the contents of GnarPump flowing through his body. Throwing up his arms in the direction of the nearest mirror, he stares long and hard at his ripped biceps.

After several minutes of flexing and people 'mirin, he pulls out his phone and takes a selfie with the hashtag, #makingcutsgettingbutts. After viewing his Instagram post, he notices the head wound he received from the young Scotsman they call Ryan Barron. He places his hand over his wound, which was still tender from the glass bottle smashing against it.

He soon stands up and walks toward the bench press, the king of all upper body exercises. As he gets ready to lift some serious weight, he notices a young man doing some bad bicep curls. The young kid, a high school student probably lifting to stop bullies from picking on him, swings the dumbbells wildly. The youngster probably believes that lifting weights will make people like him. The weight is obviously to heavy for him, so he is swinging his body wildly in order to use momentum to lift the weight.

Flexx can only think about Ryan Barron. A scrawny little kid who thinks that he can step and handle the heavyweight that is the Alpha Male. A small scrawny kid who thinks he can handle Apollonia. Like the young dweeb struggling to curl the weight, Barron is going to struggle to handle Flexx Palumbo. Flexx is a 50 pound dumbbell, Ryan Barron better stick to the 10 lbs.

He looks over once again and laughs at the loser struggling with his curls before raking more weight on his bench setup. No weight is too much for an alpha male, and no wrestler is too much for him either.

Ryan Barron will be trying to lift the heaviest weight he can't.

I know we aren't allowed to do 2 promos but im going to do a bonus one.

PrimeTime opens the refrigerator and grabs a water bottle. He then begins to open the cap. After the last twist the cap comes off and PrimeTime leans the bottle over to his mouth. He takes a few sips and then takes a deep breath. He then takes a few more sips then puts down the bottle.

PrimeTime then walks over to his television and smashes the shit out of it. The broken tv falls to the floor and PT begins to give it a elbow drop. His elbow lands square on the tv and then he follows it up with three more elbow drops.

After he's finished with that mini battle he walks over to another area. He takes a marker and draws a face on the wall, once the face is drawn he slowly puts down the marker and without hesitation quickly headbutts the wall.

Blood begins to surge out of PTs forehead. He feels a bit dizzy but he knows there is still one more war left and he is prepared to fight that good fight.

He slowly makes his way to the next room, being sure not to get spotted, as stealthy as possible. He waits and waits and waits and waits and waits and waits...and waits and waits and waits and then he waits some more. After that he waits a bit longer and soon he waits a little more. Then he knows the time is right so he makes his move.

PT takes one gigantic lunge and grabs the tortilla chips. He then quickly goes behind the counter before he can be spotted by the catering staff. Suddenly PT becomes angered. He slams his fist into the tortilla chip bag. He has forgotten the god damn SALSA!

He sits there and realizes what has happened. PT realizes it was over. He begins to cry profusely. He starts taking short breaths almost losing control of his bowels. He cries and as he cries the blood continues to gush through his forehead from his earlier incident with the wall. Suddenly PT has a brilliant Albert Einstein of an idea!

He doesn't need that damn salsa. He has something better. He quickly grabs a tortilla chip and scrapes up a big glob of blood on his face. The rest is history after that.

Already contacted @Bucky Barnes just going to post what I sent him

"Yoo dude I've been on point with promos getting them in, but I'm sorry for totally missing this one. Personal issues came up, I would come in here, and get ready to post couldn't do it mentally. Once again sorry for fucking up the story."

Things have gotten better so I can come up with something tonight or at the very least by tomorrow for Hunter.
