Re: TDL VI: ONE STEP CLOSER TO HEAVEN - THE RESULTS

Rad though a couple more debates and overall a pretty decent effort from everyone. Lol Rush burying Mozza was gold . Also the hip hop debates was pretty great. Even though I wouldn't have considered Ye myself both guys did pretty well to convince me otherwise,

Also quid question for Evo on my feedback. Fair enough comment on the footnotes and I'll make sure to limit them next time around. With 5/6 would it have been better to just include the links then and not the additional write up?

yeah, it was a hard debate to judge but i feel like you needed a bigger word limit and you'd have walked it. Just lacked a bit of depth.

Re: TDL VI: ONE STEP CLOSER TO HEAVEN - THE RESULTS

Congrats to all the winners, especially Teh Cock who beat me comprehensively... after a promising start to my TDL career where I narrowly lost via split decision, this has come as a reality check for me... feel bad but I'm willing to learn and come back stronger...

Thanks to the judges for their feedback...

Most of them were fine but the ones where you actually used a foot-note to explain an argument/point was borderline for me. I like my references (especially when there is a strict word limit) to be referential only (i.e a link to an article or source/youtube video).

That's all

Re: TDL VI: ONE STEP CLOSER TO HEAVEN - THE RESULTS

Finally read the debates. Another good show, congratulations to all the winners

The reason behind me arguing why wins and losses DON'T matter to Lesnar despite saying that they DO was because that's what I was going for. But I either had to go with a yes or a no, because if I hadn't come to a certain conclusion and made the judges swim deeper and deeper (and most of them are black, so they can't even swim deep) for an answer which was going to be something between a yes and a no, I don't think I would've had a chance to win. Not that I'm saying that choosing a particular side won me my match

Here's how I closed my debate

Quote:
So, do wins and losses matter to Lesnar? Although his character is such that he can get away with a loss here and there, it would definitely affect him in the long run, just like it would affect any other wrestler.
That was what I meant to say, that he CAN get away with a few losses because of his character, but at the end of the day, it would still affect him in the long run, just like with any other wrestler's character. But I had to choose a side in the end, either a yes or a no. And considering the affects in the long run, I chose yes. I guess I just couldn't bring it out properly. And funnily, I didn't even find anything wrong with the way I constructed my write-up, until I read the feedback. I don't know, all that swag probably got to me. Nvm, there's a long long way to go, and I'm sure I'll be coming for that title again.

You've been trying to stick your nose in my business since quite some time, so I was thinking of settling this down once and for all. How about STEVIE SWAG vs CGS at TDL VIII?
