Re: JIM'S GYM PRESENTS TDL DOJO #1.
The Fourth Wall - I liked the structure to your debate. You open with some nice background info on how Axel came to be Heyman's new pet project. You stated your stance succinctly before even starting your debate, which is an interesting approach. Personally, I'd still like to see you clearly state your stance at the end of your into before delving into your supporting evidence. Your evidence, although opinionated, is still quite substantial and makes me actually believe that Axel is the wrong choice. This begs the question, however, as to who the right choice would be? I think you should've addressed some of the other potential options and explain why they would've been a better choice than Axel. That's a great way to strengthen your argument. Overall, a solid effort that could easily be improved with some tweaking.
srdjan99 - Like The Fourth Wall, you stated your stance before even starting your debate. Therefore, you lacked a real intro paragraph, which I feel is a great way to set up the rest of your debate. I did like your reasoning for why Axel was a poor choice - clearly he's far less credible than the rest of the former Heyman guys, and he shows no signs of improving given that he can't even get over with Heyman as his mouthpiece. I also like the fact that you addressed the other potential options, and gave reasons as to why they would've been a better fit than Axel. This was nicely done. Some fine tuning on the structure would really benefit you in the future, but an otherwise solid effort.
MarkC1984 - An interesting intro. You probably don't want to let the reader know that you only spent 10 minutes researching the topic. However, I did like that you clearly stated your stance from the get-go. I think you were off to a great start with the Vince paragraph. You stating that he has worked with numerous Hall of Famers, and essentially made the Stone Cold character by letting Austin beat the shit out of him was great. After this, it kinda takes a nose dive. I think you could leave out the personal recollections, and focus on other individuals who benefitted from working with Vince like you did with the Austin feud. The Shane paragraph is a little weak. You basically stated his matches were good because he jumps off of stuff. That's not very convincing to me. You also state that he worked with HOF caliber talent. Expand on this, and you'll be onto something great.
Sorry for the delay guys.
