I suppose you're right that its better they pull this sort of thing early so they can be earmarked and opportunities given to others since interest continues to be rife, still just feels frustrating to see given the effort and work put into this primarily by yourself, Seabs & i$e. Least the standard by those who do submit a debate continues to excel and astound me.
First and foremost, congrats to Evo on the victory. Reading through, I knew I was beat. I didn't feel that mine had the same passion that your debate presented. While I was writing, I knew this to be the case and it hurt me in the end. Still, I like to think that a "good" essay by me still requires someone else to write something damn good to beat it, and you didn't let down. Great job, good luck in the finals!
And once again, to the judges - such a tremendous thanks to all of you for organizing these debates, and taking the time to both read and critique as much as you did. It wasn't my strongest debate, but some points were brought up that I didn't even see which will only help me in the future. Hats off to you all.
As much as it pains me to be eliminated, I'll be happily enjoying any rounds off as a spectator.
I haven't had the chance to do anything but skim through the rest of the card yet, which I'll get to in the next day or two, but it looked pretty damn strong. Great job everyone!!
And once again, congrats Evo. Kick some ass in the finals - if I'm gonna be knocked out, I want to be taken out by the champ.
Glad to see I beat someone who had an exceptional debate and I didn't just coast through. Fair warning though that was by far my weakest offering and I know it, I won't be as beatable any more. That title is coming to the staff forum.
It's a shame I had to bury Adrian's Cinderella story, but I'm getting my Triple H on.
You know who I am, but you don't know why I'm here.

Just re-read the debates after a night of scholastic reading-- let me say, there was some really great thought on display here. I enjoyed the debates a lot and can't wait to take another pass and declare some favs.
Big props to our all our winners and, honestly, everybody who put in the time to honour the rest of us with your ideas, your time, and your participation. It's great to see this picking up steam. Can't wait for the next card! TDL III is gonna be sick!!!!
