First things first, signing up doesn't guarantee you a place on any card or even necessarily on the roster to begin with. We'll do our best to accommodate everyone who signs up but depending on the volume that do it may not be entirely possible.
Before signing up please read the Introduction/Rules Thread to familiarise yourselves with the concept. You can also check out the Archive section to get a clearer understanding of what the topics and debates will look like. Please note that we're running this TDL slightly differently. Again, refer to the Introduction Thread.
Sign Up Template: Division
Will Debate
Won't Debate
Please use the template. If you can't follow a simple template then this probably isn't for you anyway.
You can sign up to one division and one division only so choose wisely. We'll do our best to delegate topics that fit in with the areas you want to debate. The more topics you're open to debating the more likely you are to get booked on cards. If you only willing to debate WWF circa 1990-1992 then you might be waiting a long time in between debates. If we assign you a topic that's outside your preferences then we'll check with you first before announcing the card.
Okay, I'll try this.
Division: Wrestling Will Debate: WWE and TNA, as it concerns the wrestlers and shows based on quality. Won't Debate : Merchandise sales, buyrates, ratings, or anything that happened before 2000, simply because I did not watch wrestling before that time and have little to no knowledge of the time frame.
Ringers in my experience are guys who turn out for Sunday league football teams who aren't actually signed up for them. I was a ringer a couple of times myself, and got told a name to give if I was booked.
Sneaky bizniz.
I look forward to trampling on your dreams, pinkandwhack.
Will Debate: WWE and TNA. I was going to say NJPW but I know there's WAY BIGGER fans than me on this site. I'll save that for a later time. The quality of a superstar, how good was a match, etc.
Won't Debate : Buyrates and sales in general. I'm a fan, not a damn business man. I care about the quality of the wrestlers, the story, etc. Not if "d-bry sold 1 less shirt then orton omg no draws". Indies, because as I said. I love watching them, but there's people on here who watch them all the time, filled with heart.
As far as I know, I should be able to do any time. It's not like I'm always super busy. If anything really horrible happens, I'll be sure to let people know.
If you're keen to get started soon then submit a wrestling debate (or any topic debate from the list, but obviously you want to debate wrestling) in the following thread:
Thought about it last year, finally going to have the time for this.
Division: Wrestling. Will Debate: WWE. (2002-Present Only). Wrestler A vs Wrestler B, Match Types, Booking, ect. (Nothing before '02.) Won't Debate: Anything other than what I will debate.
Signing up for the first time. The wrestling section is slower as of late and I'm still here so I might as well.
Division: Social
Will debate: whatever I won't debate.
Won't debate: whether or not any specific musician is "good". I'm up for debating the cultural impact, popularity or relevance of any specific artist but whether or not someone is a "genius" or is "good" wouldn't be something I'm interested in arguing.
Division/will debate: Whatever really. Prefer social.
Won't debate: Pre '08 wrestling (yes I am still relatively new to this Wrestling thing), promotions outside of the WWE, american based sports (Not that I don't enjoy them, I just know fairly little about them) but that's pretty much it I guess.
Social it is. As I'm very new to this, I'll refrain from limiting the topics of discussion until I get the lay of the land. So no restrictions for now. And thanks for the above advice!
