I don't believe the 97 one, it just look good from a history point in the WWE WCW war. In March of 97, Austin t shirts became the best selling t shirt in wrestling HISTORY. They were doing LIVE Raw's every other week, ppvs went from 2 to 3 hours and the price went up. They were giving ECW money. They gave Tyson millions to work Mania in March of 98, where that money came from. It's obviously WWE was in a decent position.

WWE just didn't have WCW bankroll to compete on the free agent market but I never thought they were broke. I bet 97 was more profitable than 95 or 96 for the WWE.

Around 1992, they did come very close to going bankrupt, because of the steroid scandal, but that's it. They were fine in the 80s, and they were in a bad spot around late 1996, but Stone Cold saved the company!

WWE were doing very good in the 80's.Thanks to Bruno,WWE became the top wrestling company in the world. Then Hogan took the WWE to greater heights

More than WWE,it was Vince who was under trouble from the steroid scandal

The only time they were on verge of being bankrupt was around 1996.
