Default Did Scott Hall write his own lines?

There was nobody funnier in the wcw/nwo days than the bad guy.

I remembered he use to do the hey yo, nwo want to like to take a little survey. He made remarks like how he's 6'6 and more handsome than 10 movie stars.

There was a scene where he met larry zbusko and said wow... thought you be bigger. That had got to been one of his best jokes i ever heard.

He was very amusing, but I have no knowledge on whether or not he wrote his own lines. I would guess yes since Jericho's books seem to make it sound like WCW didn't give a shit and let guys do whatever they wanted for hte most part. I assume with his top tier NWO positioning on the roster he was given free reigns

He would have ripped the scripted lines up, go out there and say what he wanted. I remember, it was on one of Nash's shoot or something, not exactly sure. He said some wrestler went up to Scott and told him not to say something, then Scott went out there and did. Something like that. He just doesn't seem like the guy who will give a shit.

Scott Hall was writing his material along with Nash. There were no scripts for WCW or WWF performers at that time, especially top guys unless they asked the writers to specifically do it for them. The biggest appeal of The Outsiders was their natural performance which was one of the best I've ever seen. They were Scott Hall and Kevin Nash doing their usual antics, just on TV. That's what made them as big as they were, they had fun and made it fun to watch. Hall showcased all his talent and charisma on the mic because it was Scott Hall talking, every detail of his personality, the tone, the catchphrases, the body language was his work. To know your character on this level is something you will probably never see in the business again because there's nothing organic about the product. The Outsiders act was authentic and they had the rare chemistry to complete each other to perfection. As for specific material, over the years a lot of the original nWo members always said that Nash was the one who came up with a lot of the catchphrases like "Too Sweet", "If you're nWo, you're nWo..." and more of the Wolfpack.

One thing I always liked about Hall was his natural and almost calm attitude while doing random, crazy shit. This nWo airport skit is one example. It's not about the most clever line or loudest voice, you hear Scott Hall because of his uniqueness.

The little things he would do, The Giant's chokeslam taunt for example, the facial expressions. Just a brilliant performer.

Of course. There weren't many scripts for promos back then, which produced a more realistic feeling than what there is today.

I loved that. That's one reason of many that WWE PG Era sucks today.
