WWE Roundtable Discussions!!

Have you guys ever sat and watched any of these? I LOVE watching them as they're very insightful, bring up great topics and this is something I'd love to be involved with if I could.

They have great guests on these too (except Michael Hayes who annoys me as everything always has to be me, me, me when a discussion is going on there, but that's another story and just me personally) .... however I have quite a lot of these here in the past and there is quite a few complete one's on Youtube also, I just wondered if you guys had watched these before and if you enjoyed them as much as I did.

Here is an example of one, this one was themed on Wrestling Family's.

Re: WWE Roundtable Discussions!!

I loved these. When I used to order the WWE on demand station I would look forward to them every month.

Slaughter, Rhodes, Foley, Okerlund, Patterson, Ross, Lawler, Watts, they were all insightful. Mike Graham comes across as a small timer with a chip on his shoulder. Hayes is a little arrogent but I agree with his points most of the time. Tazz is just okay and I wish they would have not had him on the panel.

Re: WWE Roundtable Discussions!!

I hate it. It has the potential to be the greatest show ever with many legends and their knowledge, so much video material but instead it's an WCW bashing, WWE praising and Vince McMahon ass kissing. The Heatseekers episode is the worst, I felt so sorry for Eric Bischoff sitting with those WWE tools (the only great guy who stayed objective was Mick Foley)

Re: WWE Roundtable Discussions!!

I don't really expect them to be objective. I don't expect anyone employed by WWE and speaking on a WWE production to be objective.

That being said, I like it because I get to hear input from guys who may not do shoots with Feinstein or Sean Oliver, who's shoots tend to be the same (bashing of 1 company, praising another and kissing certain ass in hopes of getting a job).

Being a WWE production kills the concept of the show because everybody is so scared to say something wrong.
Once again the Heatseekers episode. Michael Hayes attacked Eric Bischoff for allowing nWo mocking Arn Anderson's retirement like it's his fault that Anderson retired ignoring that heels always made fun of retired and injured workers, yet the same Hayes kissed Nash's ass because he's so cool and edgy in other episode.
In the same Heatseekers episode when Foley and Jim Ross talked about Jim Ross surgery by Dr. Heini (Vince McMahon) and mocking the weight of Rosie O'Donell the other guys in the room defended McMahon because it's just entertainment.
Also nice how they mentioned guys who drew legit heat like Luger or Russo but nobody mentioned the son-in-law Triple H and Shawn Michaels in the 90s.

Another pathetic moment was Dusty Rhodes in another episode praising the Goldust character, how Vince McMahon is a genius and how his son is so great as Goldust and how he feels naked without the paint but years before he and his kids started to work for WWE again everybody knew that he was ashamed of his son acting this way and everybody knows how much McMahon and Dusty hated each other (Reo Rodgers is just one example)

I agree with you on the bold. For that simple reason you mentioned, it won't truly be as good as it should be.

And as for the second bold, Dusty Rhodes himself is pathetic. He's obviously homophobic and stuck in the wrestling bubble, since he cut off ties to his first born son because of a character he portrayed on TV. But more importantly, because he's a racist. And Vince did everything but bury Dusty when he came to WWE in the late 80s. Another thing about Dusty is when he was booking for WCW, he would force the announcers to put over Dustin, even when Dustin was not even in the ring. Fuck Dusty Rhodes, he's totally pathetic and the definition of a kiss ass.

Serious question. When did Luger have legit heat?

Not sure on specifics, but on the Monday Night Wars DVD Bischoff says that he had no interest in bringing Luger into WCW when he was starting Nitro because he'd known him in the past and wasn't a nice guy and not great to do business with.

There's a sense when you hear others talk about Luger that he was one of those guys that was in the business to get money and to look good but was sorta ashamed of wrestling really and thought he was above it.

Upcoming:

Monday Night Raw - Manchester, UK - November 9th, 2015
NXT - Blackpool, UK - December 13th, 2015
Wrestlemania 32 - Dallas, TX - April 3rd, 2016

Currently planning Wrestlemania 32! Anyone else going, feel free to add me

Google Lex Luger - Bruiser Brody and that explains it. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I seem to remember reading that Luger felt he had a sense of entitlement and people were jealous etc...

I like them overall. Basically they all have to be taken with a bucket of salt because they are WWE programs, produced by the WWE using WWE contracted talent. I always thought they did them to appeal to the "shoot" video audience which was getting pretty big.

Will mark for Father Ted references.

Re: WWE Roundtable Discussions!!

Even Luger himself admitted in several interviews as well as during the TNA Hall Of Fame speech that he was not a good person. He even took responsibility for Elizabeth's death. His spinal injury humbled him. Can't wait for his book to come out in a few months!

My favorite part is during one show, all the guys were trash talking Kevin Nash. Low and behold, he's a guest a few episodes later and they're being all chummy with him, LOL.

Re: WWE Roundtable Discussions!!

It would be much better if it wasn't a WWE show. It's too biased, as DualShock said.

I accept rep.
