What started the Attitude Era?
So um, I wanted to know what fans think is the match or moment that started the Attitude Era? I've seen people mention Austin vs. Bret at WM 13, Austin vs. HBK at WM 14, I've also seen a few imply that the original DX was the birth of that era.
So what do you think? Also, after posting the moment/match, what other moments and/or matches played a big role in the new direction moving forward?

Some claim austin at king of the ring was the start
I've always felt DX was the start, but i was in and out of wrestling at that time, and may have to do when i was "fully watching" |

Bret vs SCSA feud is what eventually led into the birth of the AE. IMO it should be considered the start.

It seems to me that the King of the Ring promo that was just posted here was the true start. Stone Cold was really determined to take over and take the company to new heights.
It also seems like it was multiple things going on around the same time that helped usher in that new era. You had the Bret/Austin rivalry (classic!), the debut of Mankind and his feud with Undertaker over the course of like 3 years, Shawn and Triple H forming DX with Chyna, the debut of Kane in the Hell in a Cell Match, etc.

The combination of stone cold Steve Austin, dx, Bret hart heel turn and getting smashed by WCW weekly is what started the attitude era

Because the rock jobbed to Austin at WrestleMania 15 & 17 and they were deciding who was second behind stone cold as the GOAT.
As for Rock316AE, surely you can't think he has any credibility left? Did you not see him get mauled a couple of months ago in this thread? It made for great reading. I recommend going back to look over it. Bigwwefan1980 tore holes in him and exposed his sham arguments and flip-flopping, and the GOAT thread has been a Rock316AE-free zone ever since.
Guys like Stuart82 and Bigwwefan and a few others just dealt in too much logic and had too many facts to hand for him to be able to handle it.
