Re: What was the 3rd wrestling boom period?

Chronological order would seem to be:

Whenever wrestling got television exposure in the first place

The Rock N Wrestling era, which took it mainstream

The Monday Night Wars, which took it even more mainstream and made wrestling into what seemed like a permanent fixture in pop culture

Id say the 30s and 20s boom was pretty significant

George Hackenschmidt and Lou thesz were serious draws

Gotta include 1980-84 was pretty hot as well. WCCW, NWA, WWF, Memphis was white hot with Kaufman. That was a REALLY good time for wrestling.
