I hope you all enjoy the third edition of the MONDAY NIGHT WARS CLUB!
Remember to keep all of the discussion in here, and if you do watch, please try and put your thoughts in writing in this thread, and let's see if we can get a really good discussion going here. I'd love to see a good number of us growing week by week, and see if we can get over a few hiccups of this last week. One thing I would ask of people though is to tell your friends! Get them to join the site if they're not a part of it already, and try and get more and more people involved. It'd be great for the site if we have some new members here.
Also, please feel free to message me with any questions or anything you like, and add my Twitter which is in my sig because I would like to have more wrestling fans as followers, haha!
Also, a special thank you to Crusade, Kendoo, GE 7 & Clique for convincing me to carry on with this.

Gonna watch Nitro and RAW later on after current RAW goes of the air.
Rumble was pretty meh. I honestly only enjoyed the Rumble match (just for the finishing sequence). Thought Austin was brilliant throughout the match, loved how full of anger he was. I must say, 97 Austin is my favorite year for his character.. He just seems legitimately pissed off. He's pure attitude throughout the match and it's good to see how they're setting up Bret/Austin, as I have never gone back to watch the build but have seen the Mania match dozens of times.
Thought Sid/HBK and Taker/Vader underdelivered. Both lacked any energy, it seemed as if all four just phoned it in. HBK was really off his game in his match, he damn near no sold that powerbomb outside of the ring.
Re: MONDAY NIGHT WARS CLUB: Royal Rumble 1997, & Monday January 20th 1997
Stone Cold is undoubtedly the MVP of this whole show. He keeps the whole rumble together and the moment he and Bret have their big stand off is the highlight. None the less there is too many no names in the rumble.
Lol at Mil Mascaras eliminating himself with a high spot.
The ME doesn't really work, HBK could work miracles with most but Sid never really seemed to be one of them (even though their Survivor Series match was pretty cool).

It's been said that HBK had the flu during his Rumble match with Sid, for what it's worth. I'm inclined to believe it because they had a good match just two months earlier at Survivor Series '96 at MSG. Will watch these shows tomorrow! Thanks for posting these, love these threads.

I have to admit. You have a pretty great idea going here and it was one of the reasons I decided to join after lurking for a couple of weeks.
As someone who wanted to watch the Attitude Era episodes myself, I was able to gather about almost all that I could off of Youtube before WWE got rid of almost everything from 1998-2001. However, I always wanted to see the episodes before Summerslam 1997 (which is where I actually started downloading from) for the Austin/Hart feud, something I've wanted to see for sometime. I know January 1997 isnt the beginning of that feud, but this is still good enough for me. Since I was unable to find anything before August 1997 I have to thank you for this.
