Owen dying wasn't part of the work. Owen dying turned Bret's fake hatred towards Vince into real hatred. If Owen was still alive and Goldberg didn't end Bret's career. Bret would have been back at WM18 to feud with VKM.

Would have been a lot of confusion no doubt, but I think all of Bret's later interviews cleared things up.

It's a great documentary though. For it's time.

Bret couldn't come out and tell everyone he worked them. His fans would turn on the guy.

Did you honestly buy that though? I didn't. While it was an entertaining feud I can't believe people actually bought it. It came across as so contrived and exaggerated.

Either way, you can believe what you want, with the way Bret behaves I doubt it was work.

I don't know about that. Up until very recently Lawler admitted it. But back then they took it all over the place and they made it look real.

Why do ppl continually try and cite russo as proof of this being a work and claim it was his idea when hes on record saying it was real and that vkm didnt tell him about it to try and protect him.(ultimate insiders dvd)

What are you guys talking about Russo never said it was a work. In a recent Youshoot he said he believes it might have been, he never said it was definitely a work?
