I was a fan from 96 to 99 then went back to WWF after the show's quality started declining. I'm not trolling by the way, just stating an opinion.

Yepp. when I think of WCW I think of the older years first before the later 90s. I grew up watching the later years but I prefer the earlier ones.

WCW was great in 94 until Hogan and his buddies showed up.

Re: Any fans of the "old" WCW

WCW in '92 was Cowboy Bill Watts' doing. He had a good thing going, too bad he was a racist and a bit old-fashioned in his ideas. However, for the most part, the product he put on was solid. I was also a fan of Steve Williams/Terry Gordy. I wish their feud with the Steiners could have been more intense and drawn-out, that could have been a huge rivalry.

Other good feuds back then...

Sting-Cactus Jack
Steve Austin-Barry Windham
Dustin Rhodes-Rick Rude

The original heel commentators

Bagwell

For me this had an great appeal.

I think it was just wrestling and not so much entertainment like wwf and also less jobber matches.
WCW 92 is my favorite year by any company ever. Sting, Vader, Rude, Arn, Steamboat, Austin, Steiners, Windham, Rhodes, Pillman, Cactus, Doc and Gordy, Eaton, Lyger come at me bro.
