warrior had an energy that was not heard of at the time. as soon as u heard that music, then he ran out, then he bounced around every rope and shook them, then he whooped ass. his finisher was wack. but he was that dude.

Sure Jim Hellwig might have been different than most other wrestlers, it was said he and Savage where kind of from the same breed. Sure Hellwig might have been an asshole, but as mentioned, so was a lot of stars at the time like Hogan, Broyd, HBK, Dynamite and the list goes on. It have been said thousands of times that the wrestling business is a cut throat business so you need to be an asshole to stay on top.

The difference between Warrior and 99% of the other wrestlers is that he saw wrestling in the same light as both Brock Lesnar and Goldberg;as a business to make money. None of them had the passion like Flair (To spend all due to his gimick an being an alcoholic) They just wanted to come in and get so much money as possible for their respective families. Nothing wrong with that

As for the name change, he did it for legal reasons. If not Mcmahon might have prevented him from using his wrestling name. A bit strange, but he totally f*cked Vince with that move, which not many wrestlers have done

I think the WWE's shitting on Warrior is a little too much.

The main reasons they use to bash him are no different than various other guys have done over the years. I mean, he worked for WWE on 3 different occasions. So, from his first stint, they knew what he was about but continued to bring him back.

I think the main bad point about Warrior is he doesn't handle business properly. The guy seems pretty intelligent but the fact that he's been shitting on the business and various top names in it for years will pretty much alter the views that any in the business have of him. Plus, he was pretty green and got pushed too far, too fast.

I remember Konnan saying he's only known 3 people to flip out on Vince and get away with it and that was HBK, Eddie & Warrior. Vince saw something good about all 3 to continue dealing with them and considering what guys like HBK have put Vince through, I don't believe Warrior is this psychotic, egomaniac they portray him to be, especially since they created the monster.

Warrior had some great matches with Savage, Rude, and Hogan. Say what you want, but he delived in big matches most of the time. WM7 with Savage might be a top 10 all time WWF/E match.

Warrior held Vince up for $250,000 dollars minutes before the main event at SummerSlam in MSG. That is perhaps the biggest no-no in the business. That's what Vince holds against him today.

Obviously, Vince doesn't hold it against him, seeing as how Warrior was brought back twice after that.

Like Vince said in the Warrior DVD, people always ask him why he kept bringing the Warrior back, and he did it because it was good for business and because the fans wanted it. Doesn't mean Vince ever completely forgave him for it. Just my opinion.

I'm quite sure he never forgave him but WWE burying Warrior isn't solely because of that, it's a combination of off the wall shit Warrior has done over the past 22 years, including holding Vince up for money, no showing events and burying WWE publicly.

Eventually, it gets to be too much. And IMO, Warrior isn't like the other guys (Bret), who completely ignore the way they were bashed over the years just because of the greenback. I'm quite convinced Warrior will never be mentioned in a positive light until Vince is dead, because that's where the problem is. When HHH takes over, the burials will stop, which would be quite ironic.

Bruno Sammartino has crapped on the modern wwf/e ever since he exited. He never got a railroad DVD. There is always two sides of the story I believe. I think the company thought like the IWC and made the DVD the way it was thinking everyone would agree. It backfired.

They even tried getting him into the HOF before guys like Savage who sure as hell deserve induction over him, yet he has more chance than Savage(regardless of the rumors).

Vince is strange like that because guys like Hall, Nash, and Luger scrwed him over more imo as they almost put a nail in the coffin for the company in the 90's after getting over 2 years promo as being the new generation of wrestling. We saw how wcw used that to its advantage. HBK would have done the same thing if he could have got out of that contract too in the mid 90's to jump ship.

Warrior is a strange dude and it's easy to make a dvd trying to capitalize on it imo.
