Was I the only one who loved it? I remember when they created the concept that the Hardcore title was a belt that had to be defended 24/7. Then they had wrestlers randomly attacking the champion outside the arena like when he was sleeping. Really loved that. That was a great time for hardcore matches since the WWF was willing to take matches outside the ring and all over the arena, not to mention they didn't have the shitty PG rating so they were able to use weapons.

I enjoyed the Hardcore title before both the 24/7 rule and during it as well. It changed hands A LOT with one of Godfathers Ho's and Gerry Briscoe winning it temporarily. I also took a liking to Crash Holly as he was apart from Hardcore and had his own image becoming the Houdini of Hardcore.

Plus the matches in the funhouse and arcade were brilliant.

It would be awesome if they brought back a new title. As fun as the hardcore title was, imagine the possibilities if they brought back the cruiser weight division!?

Summerslam 1999. Bossman Vs Al Snow with Road Dogg doing live commentary. In a bar with the patrons shouting "Fake" I think. That was a fun match.

My only gripe with the 24/7 rule was the matches. Why book matches when anyone can challenge at any time? Plus, most of the booked matches never reached a real conclusion because a swarm of guys would run out and try and win the title (sometimes successfully before losing it again).

They should have suspended the 24/7 rule during actual hardcore matches.

what i loved about the hardcore title was that it was the pieces from the old wwf title that hogan held. it was good but i think it jumped the shark when big show had it.
