How come Scott Hall/Razor Ramon never was World Champion?
Hi guys,
when i was younger, i used to like Razor Ramon/Scott Hall. What i never understood is why, he never became World Champion?
I think he got what i takes to become one.
What is your opinion on that?

A legend never dies: June 18, 1962 - June 13, 2009
Not removing until:
[] Shelton Benjamin makes a comeback
[] Charlie Haas makes a comeback
[] Kenny Dykstra makes a comeback
[] Raw makes again a 6.5 or even a higher rating
[] John Morrison becomes WWE champion
[] CM Punk wins Royal Rumble
[] CM Punk and Daniel Bryan main eventing Wrestlemania in an iron man match (and so creating epic stuff as e.g. misawa and kawada did in their matches)
[] WWE pays tribute to Mitsuharu Misawa
Punk holding the title for 434 days was epic. it was the greatest reign in the history of wrestling (but not the way the reign ended):
4-3-4
4-3-4
4-3-4

Wrong places wrong times, it just never happened for him. In WCW I guess he was always just tied up in another feud when the world title was due to change hands. It's appalling that Vince Russo and David Arquette were champions but Scott Hall wasn't.

Having in mind everyone who was a WCW champ and the number of title changes its amazing that Scott didn't get a usual WCW 2 week run as champ.

Re: How come Scott Hall/Razor Ramon never was World Champion?
Yeah, I always wondered that too. As Razor Ramon, he was my favorite wrestler when I was a kid. They gave me a match with Yokozuna one time in the main event on Raw, and I think that was one of the more exciting matches I watched back then until HBK won the Royal Rumble. Him almost winning was pretty cool. . .it was the only legit shot he ever got that I can remember.
I think the reason though, is that WWE, like now, got wrapped up in one or two guys at the top for the entire year like they always do. If it was run more like the attitude era where there were 6-8 title changes in a year, I think he would've gotten a title shot. Back then though, you got 3 title changes a year at best. And that was usually just flipped between the same 2 people. Then during the next year, one of the two it was flipped between would change. Sometimes both~ whoa~ -_-
But yeah, I think it was mainly just how they booked the show. It was booked like it is now, where they rarely give the opportunity to hold the title to anybody different.

Re: How come Scott Hall/Razor Ramon never was World Champion?
I think he was set to become world champion in WWF, but opted to leave for the bigger contract in WCW. In WCW, he was in line after a bunch of ex-world champions. He surely would have gotten a run in WCW, but by then, he had become too addicted and unreliable to put the belt on.

For the same reason Jake Roberts was never considered.
He had a drinking & drug problem that he just couldn't get under control.

Re: How come Scott Hall/Razor Ramon never was World Champion?
Scott hall didnt care about the title, he cared about the money which he got boat loads off. I remeber him saying in an interview something along the lines of "only marks care about the title". This was like eight years ago though so maybe im wrong
