Boss Man hanging at WM15

I know that wrestling is scripted and all but when you hang someone, that person dies. How did wwe explain (kayfabe) how bossman survived that? Did they even explained it? Because Bossman just seemed to reappear like nothing happened. At first I though he was sacrificed and would join the ministry but he was still in the corporation.

Re: Boss Man hanging at wm 15

They just said The Brood (who was part of the Ministry of Darkness at the time) did it as something symbolic, to send a message to the corporation.

I don't remember how they explained it but in terms of realism - hanging someone like that would take a fair amount of time to kill them.

The traditional method of killing someone by hanging is to have them fall a distance with the rope around their neck which then breaks their neck - instant death. It's not actually about choking them out which this would do so much more slowly. So in theory they could say he was cut down before it got to a critical stage.

Anyway, as far as that goes, it annoyed me for years that they didn't allude to this when talking about what a bad bastard Taker was inside HIAC. I understand it now as the guy is dead and they don't want to show a man who passed much too young being hung for the sake of entertainment - but at the 2000 Armageddon HIAC for example they talked about him beating up Shawn and tossing Mick off the Cell and how he was such a bad guy - but they ignored the fact he fucking HUNG a dude in there.

Always bugged me.

Man, I remember WWE getting some shit for that stunt. It was stupid anyways, that match kinda sucked and Taker deserved a better match than with Bossman. It's one of his weakest WM matches ever.

Yeah, kind of unfortunate how that worked. Ministry vs. Corporation, and after Rock, there weren't any top guys left in the Corporation. Have a feeling that Shamrock would have been against the hanging. But it does look pretty fucking awesome, seeing a guy hanging from a Cell, with the Brood riding on top of it.

That has got to be Kane.

Taker vs. Shamrock was a great match at Backlash, not sure why they couldn't do a match at WM. It didn't have to end with a hanging, just have a great match.

Match sucked, but that ending and the visualality of it is pretty darn good IMO.

A great moment, too bad that it's too great to be shown later in the current video packages especially in the current PG environment
