Re: WCW Discussion Thread

I hear ya. Although, again, it isn't like that's a quality you can find or ask for from anyone. Still stand that Cena has it going for him. If that's in the heat department or from the support he gets, he always creates an atmosphere that's larger than life. Undertaker is a given. He's had that just about his entire career.

Re: WCW Discussion Thread

I have just finished watching all of the Nitro's and pay per view's from 2001 and some of the stuff that WCW put out at this time was pretty solid. Considering how the roster had gone from having well over 100+ talent to having around 30/40 guys they put on some decent shows. Sin was a particular highlight for me.

Anyone else enjoy WCW in 2001 and think that they could have carried on churning out a half decent product if AOL/Timewarner didn't pull the plug?

Defo 2001 was very good imo, I personally thought they were turning the corner, shame it ended at the end of March.

I can't describe how sad I was that day...

Yeah, I was a brother on the streets of Compton doing a lot of things most people look down on but it did pay off. Then we started rapping about real stuff that shook up the LAPD and the FBI. But we got our message across big time, and everyone in America started paying attention to the boys in the hood..

Totally agree... the wrestling actually got better, and WCW finally quit the free fall of money loss by going to smaller venues, doing less advertising, and cutting the fat off the roster. It's a shame but it is understandable why it was closed even though the quality got pretty good. Booker T and Scott Steiner put on some good matches and had a solid feud.
