He definitely didn't hurt more than he help. The NWO is what made WCW what it was, and that would have never taken off if Hogan weren't the big reveal.
lol @ not thinking Hogan hurt WCW. What WCW were you watching? It's common knowledge that his ego led to out of control nonsense. He had creative control. That's absurd to give a contracted wrestler something of the sort. Hogan going heel was revolutionary, doesn't mean it was a positive in the long run b/c it turned out it wasn't.
WELL YOU KNOW SOMETHING BROTHER, AT QUAKE AT THE LAKE, THE WRESTLING WORLD CHANGED BROTHER. AT QUAKE AT THE LAKE, THE NEW WORLD ORDER WERE BORN BROTHER, AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU OUT THERE WILL FOREVER REMEMBER QUAKE AT THE LAKE AS THE DAY WCW DIED BROTHER.
"He's not the biggest. He was never the strongest. He was never the fastest. He was overlooked. He went in the sixth round. So with that being said, all of the intangibles that a quarterback is supposed to have, they overlooked it with him because it was burning from inside of him" - Ray Lewis on Tom Brady
You could say Dean was the most over guy on the roster at the time. Wouldn't even be a stretch. Feud got over THAT much.
Yeah, Jericho did a tremendous job on his part during this feud. Matter of fact, Chris Jericho in 1998 may be one of my favorite years of his career-wise, although since after his "feud" with Goldberg didn't take off, you could pretty much tell he was not going to get any much further in WCW.
