Was it in 2000 that Piper came out to save Goldberg from the nWo and fucked up? Piper covered Goldberg to protect but he was supposed to be dragged off of him so Hart could pin Goldberg or something but Piper wasn't told about this so he refused to get off Goldberg. In the end the referee just counted 1,2,3 for Piper's cover on Goldberg to end the match

Yes, Piper was supposed to protect Goldberg. He appeared before Hart pinned Bill however. Now since he was told by Russo to not let go by any means he covered Goldberg and Bret couldn't. Silverman still counted 1-2-3.
Brets, Halls and Nashs faces during all of this are priceless. I still wonder why they never got Piper off Bill. Sure four grown men should be able to do this. Or at least try to tell him.

I can't find a video anywhere, which is a shame, but another match everyone here HAS to check out is the Powerbomb match between Sid and Nash from Starrcade 1999. The ref gets knocked out, and Nash gets the upper hand, but after trying to pick him up, he realizes he's not strong enough to powerbomb Sid. So he just lays Sid out with a beatdown, and when the ref comes to, Nash TELLS the ref that he powerbombed Sid (even though he didn't), but because the ref was out cold, he didn't see it. The ref immediately believes him and declares Big Kev the winner.
Finish via charades. To help the crowd understand what was going on, Kev started acting out a powerbomb and pointing to Sid, then himself.
