Taker visits Bret after Owen death?
I believe I first read this in the torch archives, something along the lines that after Owen died in the accident Taker flew to see Bret [in presumably Calagry]. Is there any truth to this? The torch (can't remember the exact issue date) is the only place I have ever heard this. Was watching some Owen stuff tonight on YouTube and this came to my mind.
If Taker really did do that, good for him, but I can't help but feel it was Keller's way of explaining why Taker didn't appear on the RAW is Owen show--when actually his "character" at the time had no business being on the show. Not trying to stir the pot here, just genuinely curious. |

Not sure, never heard that myself, im pretty sure Bret doesn't mention it in his book...

Re: Taker visits Bret after Owen death?
I read Brets autobiography and he doesn't mention it.
Doesn't mean to say it didn't happen though. I know he said that Stone Cold didn't phone the family about it when Bret was on Off The Record. |

I haven't read the book, but why would he even mention that Steve never called? Were they really close before? I know that Austin worked a great feud against each Bret and Owen, but it didn't seem like they would have been that tight, especially considering how Stone Cold was still one of the newer guys during Bret's final days in the company. |

I don't see why this is significant. Undertaker and Bret are friends. Undertaker was probably the most pissed off of the non-Harts the night of the Montreal screwjob. Quote:

The only way to really find out if this is true is if Bret or Taker confirm...something you're not gunna find in this thread.
