Taker visits Bret after Owen death?

I believe I first read this in the torch archives, something along the lines that after Owen died in the accident Taker flew to see Bret [in presumably Calagry]. Is there any truth to this? The torch (can't remember the exact issue date) is the only place I have ever heard this. Was watching some Owen stuff tonight on YouTube and this came to my mind.

If Taker really did do that, good for him, but I can't help but feel it was Keller's way of explaining why Taker didn't appear on the RAW is Owen show--when actually his "character" at the time had no business being on the show. Not trying to stir the pot here, just genuinely curious.

I read Brets autobiography and he doesn't mention it.

Doesn't mean to say it didn't happen though. I know he said that Stone Cold didn't phone the family about it when Bret was on Off The Record.

Bret generally only focuses on the negatives. If he's not praising himself and giving himself a good pat on the back for his accomplishments, he's talking about how everybody has done him wrong in life. He just seems to be a very bitter person and at least for his public appearances has issues acknowledging anything positive that somebody did for him.

I haven't read the book, but why would he even mention that Steve never called? Were they really close before? I know that Austin worked a great feud against each Bret and Owen, but it didn't seem like they would have been that tight, especially considering how Stone Cold was still one of the newer guys during Bret's final days in the company.

Never knew Keller worked for WWE.

I don't see why this is significant. Undertaker and Bret are friends. Undertaker was probably the most pissed off of the non-Harts the night of the Montreal screwjob.

The only way to really find out if this is true is if Bret or Taker confirm...something you're not gunna find in this thread.

This is a discussion forum, people can discuss things. If we are going to close a thread on your reasoning, we might as well delete the whole forum.

Even though you admit you never read his book, you're not wrong. I love Bret, but I've never seen someone have to pat themselves on the back as much as he does. And for all I've heard, Owen Hart was a really nice guy, but for him not even call Austin after breaking his neck (a spot Austin told him not to do) is incredibly low.

Has anyone ever refuted any claim in Bret's book?

I will answer for you: No.
