Eric Bischoff almost put the WWF out of the business

Re: Eric Bischoff almost put WWF out of the business
NWO fizzled out and everything not counting cruiserweights was shit.
Politics, Creative control, Throwing money away, Terrible storylines, you name it, it happened. And at the same time Attitude Era in WWF hit full stride and never looked back. |
Storylines were awful. They're main events were always the same and got way to stale. wcw not pushing their young stars cost them

Re: Eric Bischoff almost put WWF out of the business
The main problem with WCW was that they were too focus on what the WWE was doing and putting them out of business that they lost track of trying to better their product. They had the NWO storyline, but they milked it to death. Not too mention all the money they spent on buying out the WWE and ECW talent. Putting big time PPV matches on free TV.

Re: Eric Bischoff almost put the WWF out of the business
I don't ever get why people actually wanted to see WCW win. Look at everything WCW had done in its history BEFORE it's big boom era with NWO and all that, that'd basically be the type of stuff they'd be going back to, once all the monday night war/attitude era guys were all retired/done with the company.
There was nothing about WCWs history before this time period, that'd put any sort of confidence in the future of wrestling had they won the monday night wars. WWE today has basically gone back to the way they were before monday night wars, but the thing about that, is that WWE was actually still successful during that time period as well. |

Best midcard ever. Main event was across-the-board shit.

I agree. If WCW maintained the same formula they had from 88-91 (which I feel was pretty good), it would have worked, as the main focus was on the wrestling aspect.

Re: Eric Bischoff almost put the WWF out of the business
It was very good, but it didnt really work. There's a reason JCP went under
Then again, the 1993 to 1996 period didnt do much better and it was beyond awful in terms of quality |
