This thread is really good at revisionist history. Never did I think I would see anyone say 1995 made money or was good.

Re: 1995: The year in prowrestling that sucked tremendously

1995 had kevin nash vs mabel as a main event for summerslam

yeah. think about that

Its the weirdest thing, wwe and wcw both had some fantastic talent, it was like they went out of their way to book the worst show possible

Also, why the hell was this guy called the yeti?

No revisionist.

Reports show from April 95 - April 96, they made a profit. Doesnt mean the product was good, for example the PG era.

I pretty much agree with what I underlined.

2012 heel run = decent at best

2013 heel run = awesome so far

Heel turn at Raw 1000 = Smarks felt indifferent. Some were even unsure if he's a heel because they don't buy it.

In summary, Punk is far from being a perfect heel champion (e.g. Hollywood Hogan) but he has done a good job so far.

Actually I started watching in 1990, and stopped watching consistently in 2005. So nice try wise guy.

Hogan was a perfect heel champ? lol So using your creative control to cut the legs off the top babyface in the company after a year long build up is being a perfect heel? Hogan's heel turn was great and the first few promos were fun to watch. After that he was pretty much the worst wrestler on the planet. I thought he was abismal as a heel worker he couldn't bump, his heat segments were boring, and he Hulked up(wtf) in some matches to face heat.

Re: 1995: The year in prowrestling that sucked tremendously

hulk hogan turning heel in 96 was great for him as a character but still he hogged that spotlight. If he just quit main eventing after starrcade 97 after the loss to stinger it would have been different. Others could shine. Hogan's creative control fucked up alot of storylines, he is one of the reasons the entertainment value dropped the last years.

Re: 1995: The year in prowrestling that sucked tremendously

That whole year was absolute shit. Nothing stands out for me that I can remember back then. I only watched WWF, and my God was it bad.

WrestleMania that year was the #1 worst WM of ALL-TIME. Didn't feel like a WM at all. It felt like an In Your House.

Start doing research, first.
This is a great example when the fans start to defend 2012 or the PG era at all "they make a lot of money, look at the numbers, that means they are right and you are wrong"
1995 is considered as one of the worst, for some of the fans the worst year but they still made money. How ironic that 2012 also made most money in recent years
